Welcome to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park
It’s not every outdoor venue that gives you the opportunity to see elk, ride a Segway and get married, all amid a beautiful outdoor setting in the Missouri Ozarks. Located about 30 miles southwest of downtown Branson on Highway 86 near Lampe, Dogwood Canyon is a magnificent destination for outdoor lovers.
What’s in store when you visit? Well, how about:
Several miles worth of paved trails. They meander through the park and offer views of beautiful, clear streams teeming with trout. Walk, bike or ride a Segway!
Hour-long trail rides on horseback showcase areas of the park you don’t see when using the paved trails. Horse-drawn carriage rides also are an option.
The two-hour, open-air tram tour leads you through the park and then crosses into Arkansas, where you see herds of American bison, elk and longhorn cattle.
Catch the rainbow … trout that is. Fishing is a popular activity at Dogwood Canyon and with ample rainbow trout, it’s likely you’ll go home with a fish story. A true one. Once you’re hooked, ask about the two-day fly-fishing school.
For an insider’s look at Dogwood Canyon, check out the Jeep tours, ideal for one person or small groups of up to three people. Reserve this tour well in advance.
Waterfall views are the perfect backdrop for your big day when you get married at Dogwood Canyon’s Hope Wilderness Chapel. The chapel, designed to replicate churches of the 1800s, is available for weddings and other events.
Grab a bite to eat at the newly renovated Canyon Grill Restaurant, where the smoked trout cake BLT makes your mouth water and the Dogwood triple chocolate cake is worth writing home about. A nice selection of adult beverages also is available. Enjoy views of Indian Creek and the new Mill while you dine.
Clearly, Dogwood Canyon offers amazing scenery and incredible outdoor experiences – about 10,000 acres worth. Be sure to make Dogwood Canyon a part of your Branson getaway, it’s an outdoor adventure you won’t soon forget.
