Fun Times at The Track

Summer is almost over and the weather in the Ozarks is amazing! We decided to enjoy what is left of summer and head to Kids Kountry at The Track III.

Arriving at Kids Kountry

I love going places with the children, but it can get expensive in a hurry! Thankfully, Kids Kountry offers wristbands that are good for unlimited rides, go-karts and mini golf for just $15/child. It was so nice not to be crunching numbers when deciding which rides to go on! They rode them all several times and we definitely got our money’s worth.

The first thing they wanted to do was mini golf. It was… well… hysterical! Our 4-year-old son couldn’t figure out how to hit the ball well, and resorted to just picking the ball up and placing in the hole. Our 5-year-old daughter was much more focused and tried her best. We spent a lot of time at the first hole! After a few holes they were more interested with the adorable, themed scenery than mini golfing.

We turned in our clubs and headed to the rides. The kids were thrilled that they were both big enough to ride all of the rides; that is the first time we have been somewhere that didn’t restrict them. I was thrilled that I didn’t have to deal with any melt-downs over one of them not being able to go on a ride. It was great for all of us!

Riding the Teacups

There are five rides plus go-carts and mini golf. Five rides might not seem like much, but it kept my children entertained for the full two hours. They made friends with the other children riding rides and a group of them quickly bonded and started riding rides together. We made friends with other parents and enjoyed the company while our children played.

The highlight of the day was the go-carts. All of the parents got such a kick out of their little ones trying to drive—it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time! People walking by stopped to share in the laughter. The kids loved them too, of course.

Eventually our two hours were up and it was time to go. They were sad when it was time to leave, but perked up once I told them we were going to one of our favorite ice cream places, Cold Stone Creamery on The Strip.

Yum!

It is a fun place to get ice cream. Customers pick out a flavor of ice cream and as many yummy ingredients as they want. A cheerful employee mixes all of the desired ingredients into the ice cream. It’s fun and tasty.

The staff at Cold Stone Creamery was amazing. They seemed genuinely happy to be there and enjoyed helping the kids pick out their ingredients. It was very clean and had great background music playing.

It was a perfect way to end the day!

His choice: Peanut Butter Cups in Cotton Candy Ice Cream (Eww! He loved it!)

Our daughter, Elle, spotted the perfect cupcakes for her sixth birthday party. They look delicious!

Pink Cupcakes!

It was a wonderful Saturday.

Mmmmmmm!

Kids Kountry: The Details

The Track has several locations. We went to Track III which also has Kids Kountry. Kids Kountry is a great place for young children, and The Track is great for older children and adults. We spent our time at Kids Kountry.

Stroller Friendly: I’d avoid going with anything larger than an umbrella stroller. The terrain is a little hilly and space is limited. I put our baby a front carrier and it worked well.

Food: They have snack and ice cream machines. There are restaurants nearby if you would like a meal before you go! If you are nursing a baby, it is a good idea to nurse before you go due to the limited seating.

What to bring: Sunscreen, money and a camera.

Suggestions: If you would like to do some shopping alone, then send your spouse and kids to The Track! The Tanger Outlet Mall is located right next to Kids Kountry.

Parking: Ample, convenient and free.

Diaper changing station: None

Cost: $15/child for unlimited rides and golfing for two hours. Total for my family: $30

Age appropriateness: Three to Adult
