The area is around four miles long, and the history dates back to the middle 1800s. There is an old 19th century road on Pine Mountain where a band of robbers hid amongst the rocks and ambushed several travelers, killing them all,according to the website. Alfred Bolin, who was leader of a gang of robbers during the Civil War, was one of the robbers who took part in the ambush. There was a cave below the road where Bolin and his gang were supposed to have taken refuge. There is a legend about the gang burying treasure there, somewhere near the cave. Treasure hunters haven&#8217;t found any of the lost treasure yet [...]]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I am a huge &quot;Gone with the Wind&quot; fan.  In fact, my daughter&#039;s middle name is Leigh, after Vivian Leigh... I Love that book/movie.  Because of that movie, I am obsessed with the Civil War era... in fact just finished reading a great historical fiction about the Civil war titled, &quot;Up From Corinth: Book 2 of Journey Into Darkness&quot; by J. Arthur Moore.  Thank you for posting I didn&#039;t even know the museum existed!  I know where I am taking my family on our next vacation.
