FLW Fishing Tournament Series 2016

America's best bass anglers will converge on Table Rock Lake in November to compete for the much coveted title of 2016 Costal FLW Series Champion. The industry's premier tournament-fishing organization, FLW provides anglers of all skills levels with an opportunity to compete for millions in prize money a variety of annual tournaments. This year, the Costa FLW Series consists of five divisions: Central, Northern, Southeastern, Southwestern and Western.

The championship event, which is being held in Branson Nov. 3-5, will include the top 40 professionals and top 40 co-anglers based on point standings from each of the five U.S. FLW Series divisions, plus two pros and two co-anglers each from FLW Canada, FLW China, FLW Mexico and FLW South Korea.

After the full field of competitors fish Table Rock Lake Nov. 3 and 4, the 10 pros and 10 co-anglers who have the highest cumulative weights from the first two days will fish the Ozarks' area lake Nov. 5. the highest finishing pro from each U.S. division and the new International division based on their finish at the 2016 FLW Series Championship along with the overall top five finishers not already selected as the highest finisher in a division, for a total of 11 FLW Series pros, will advance to the 2017 Forrest Wood Cup.

"These anglers are some of the best up-and-coming bass fisherman out there, and it's going to be exciting to watch how they all perform in each event," said Al Perkinson, vice president of marketing for Costa, which partnered with FLW earlier this year. "We look forward to growing this relationship with FLW and with the entire bass fishing community."

Registration for the 2016 Costa FLW Series season is open to the top 40 pros and co-anglers from each division of the 2015 FLW Series and the top 50 boaters and co-anglers from each division of the 2015 Walmart Bass Fishing League. While registration fees are $1,600 per tournament for pros and $550 for co-anglers, prizes range as high as $50,000 for pros and $5,000 for co-anglers in the championship tournament. Plenty of other cash and prizes will also be awarded to anglers participating in the Branson tournament. Scoring is determined by the pounds and ounces of each contestant’s catch during each tournament. Only largemouth, spotted, redeye or smallmouth bass are accepted species, and the daily limit of fish is 5.
