Southwest Missouri's comic and pop culture convention is quickly approaching with the original "fastest man alive" as the Guest of Honor. Visioncon is slated for Feb. 24-26 at the Branson Convention Center.

Visioncon's Guest of Honor is John Wesley Shipp, who currently plays on the C.W. series "The Flash" as Barry Allen's father Henry Allen. Shipp originally played the Flash/Barry Allen in the 1990 TV series "The Flash."

Guests also include "Star Wars" sculptor Brian Muir, "Face Off" Laura Tyler and RJ Haddy, cosplayer Kelldar, and voice actor Steve Downes, Halo's Master Chief. Also slated to attend the annual convention will be authors Ben Reeder, J. Christopher Wilson, Samantha McMillian, D.A. Roberts, Samuel Rikard and Shane Moore.

In addition to the guests, there will be a wide variety of vendors, panels and workshops. An art room, gaming and arcade room are also open throughout the weekend.

Visioncon is Feb. 24, 25 and 26 at the Branson Convention Center. Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult admission but do require a badge. Weekend passes are $35 for ages 13-16 and $50 for ages 17 and above. Pre-register for a full weekend membership by Feb. 13 and pay only $40. Visit to register and for the full schedule.
