Branson, Missouri – The Baldknobbers Jamboree audience was part of an unexpected
surprise as Larry the Cable Guy interrupted the evening performance Tuesday night.
The comedian was in Branson recording for his nationally televised program “Only In
America” that airs on the History Channel. The episode will feature several stops in the
area, but his live walk-on and backstage antics appear to be a highlight of the show.
“You know this show is the very first show in Branson, you all are legends.” Larry said to riotous applause as he worked the stage with Baldknobbers comedians Hargus Marcel and Droopy Drawers, Junior and show emcee Brandon Mabe.
The Baldknobbers Jamboree continues to make history nightly as Branson’s first show
with their 100% live brand of family entertainment that has spawned innumerable
productions in this small community that has become the live entertainment capital of
the world.
Tim Mabe, the Baldknobbers producer and on-stage character Droopy Drawers Junior
was thrilled with the opportunity to work with Larry the Cable Guy. “I truly admire his
talent, and love the show. I watch it regularly, and when the opportunity came to see
him on our stage, it was great for me personally. That’s not counting how great it is for the community to be featured on a nationally televised program like “Only In America”.The crew and Larry were incredibly kind and pleasant to work with.”
An added bonus for the audience that night was the realization that the show was being recorded live, as each Baldknobber performance is. As a result audience members were able to walk out with the whole experience on DVD, not having to wait for the television show to air later this fall.
