RFD-TV to Broadcast Presleys’ Country Jubilee Television Show to 40 Million Homes Each Week Starting Saturday, March 6
Presleys’ Country Jubilee television show will mirror the proven format perfected by the family during their 42-year run of high-energy live performances in Branson. The program, produced on stage at Presleys’ Jubilee, stars three generations of Presley family members along with the multi-talented cast from their live stage show. Silver Dollar City launches its 50th year in 2010, celebrating with a year-long party, a new $7 million ride, special birthday events, top names in entertainment, new shows for each of its six world-class festivals, and $50,000 in prize give-aways. Themed Take Time to Celebrate, 2010 marks the park’s biggest event year ever.
Debuting in early Spring is the new $7 million ride Tom & Huck’s RiverBlast -- America’s Biggest Water Battle, a super-soaking water raft ride themed around the adventures of fun-loving, mischief-makers Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Raft riders, armed with water soakers, navigate the Mighty White River, battling raft-to-raft and raft-to-shore, dodging even more streams of water from sharp shooters ashore. The Shepherd of the Hills Historic Homestead and Old Mill Theatre in Branson is celebrating in 2010, and they’re doing it in a big way. Plans have been announced for a new ride that will launch from the top of Inspiration Tower, the 230’ observation tower.
The ZipRider is designed so that guests are seated during their decent, the seat attaches to the cable leaving the riders hands free to enjoy the ride. There are currently 10 in the world, and the one at The Shepherd of the Hills will have the tallest launch pad with Inspiration Tower.

The Branson airport announced new nonstop service between Branson and Austin, Des Moines, Houston, Shreveport and Terre Haute. This new service expands the flexibility and convenience of getting to Branson, the Live Music Show Capital of the World. Beginning May 17, 2010 Branson AirExpress will offer nonstop service five days a week between Branson and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport – Austin, Texas, William P. Hobby Airport - Houston, Texas, Des Moines International Airport – Des Moines, Iowa and three times a week between Branson and Shreveport Regional Airport – Shreveport, Louisiana and Terre Haute International Airport, Terre Haute, Indiana. Clay has an incredible line-up for 2010! Joining the talented Clay Cooper in his theatre this year is Mr. Banjo, Buck Trent, who has been known for his performances on Hee-Haw and The Porter Wagoner TV Show.
