Christmas Activities in Branson

The Christmas season in Branson is magical, with activities to delight everyone in your family. When planning your trip to America’s Christmas Tree City this holiday season, be sure to consider these activities for your itinerary:

See a Christmas Show

Sit back, relax and be entertained by one of Branson’s amazing live Christmas shows! For a traditional Christmas variety show, check out Andy Williams Ozark Mountain Christmas Show, Grand Jubilee Christmas Show or The Brett Family Christmas. Or try the Hughes Brothers Christmas Show, Christmas Wonderland or 25 Days of Christmas with the Tabuchi Family.

For a Christmas production that is just as spectacular, but not-so-traditional, try A Janice Martin Cirque Christmas Show or The Prophecy, a Trans-Siberian Orchestra inspired show (only November 26-30!).

For a “half and half” show, which features regular season music for part of the show and Christmas music for part, see Clay Cooper’s Country Express Christmas, The Haygoods Christmas Extravaganza, Hot Rods & High Heels 1950s Christmas, Presley’s Christmas Jubilee or Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers Christmas.

Experience An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City

Getting to experience the twinkling lights that illuminate Silver Dollar City at Christmas is worth your visit. Christmas in Midtown®, new in 2017, added 1.5 million lights to the park, bringing the grand total to 6.5 million lights!

Other activities that will get you in the Christmas spirit include visiting Santa Claus Lane and Rudolph’s Christmas Town, riding on the Frisco Sing-Along Steam Train, taking in Rudolph’s Holly Jolly™ Christmas Light Parade and watching a family-friendly Christmas show. All this is in addition to thrilling rides, tasty food and great shopping at 60 unique shops around the park.

Shop ‘Til you Drop!

Before you make your trip to Branson, be sure your Christmas shopping list is made. You can definitely make some headway on it while you’re here! Spend time at The Grand Village Shops or Historic Downtown Branson for specialty shops with unique gifts.

Stroll down Branson Landing’s Winter WonderLanding from Belk Department Store to Bass Pro Shops and experience all the shopping, attractions and dining your heart desires! And don’t miss Tanger Outlet Mall with over 70 shops that boast incredible discounts on brands you love!

Celebrate with Santa

Santa-sightings take place all over Branson during the holiday season, but there are a few places we know you can find the jolly fellow! Santa makes his appearance every evening on The Polar Express at Branson Scenic Railway. While en route to the North Pole, passengers will enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while waiting for an appearance from good ole’ St. Nick.

You can also find Santa on the Santa’s Pancakes & PJs cruise on the Showboat Branson Belle. Come in your Christmas jammies and get filled up on pancakes and fun. For ideas of more places to spot the guy in red, check out this list.

Be Dazzled by the Lights

Branson is home to three drive-thru light displays you can enjoy from the warmth of your vehicle. The Trail of Lights winds through the 160-acre Shepherd of the Hills Homestead and features animated displays that remind you of an old-fashioned Christmas.

In addition to long-time favorite displays, such as the 12 Days of Christmas, Branson’s Gift of Lights features many new LED displays for 2018, including patriotic displays and ones that tell the story of Christ’s life and ministry.

Branson’s Promised Land Zoo hosts Let There Be Lights!, a two-mile, sparkling lighted drive through the zoo, ending at the Candy Land Courtyard where you can exit your vehicle and enjoy more lights, activities and holiday treats!
