Splash Down With Ride The Ducks in Branson

Experience a one-of-a-kind land and water adventure to see some of Branson’s top attractions.

Ride the Ducks takes you on a guided 75-minute tour on a rebuilt World War II-era amphibious vehicle. You’ll discover historic treasures and interesting facts as your licensed captain and tour guide take you on a fun-filled journey through town before splashing down in either Table Rock Lake or Lake Taneycomo.

Choose from two different tours: On the Table Rock Lake tour, you’ll see the Branson Entertainment District, Table Rock Dam, Baird Mountain and beautiful Ozark scenery. You’ll also visit historic American military vehicles including the original World War II-era DUKW which the tour vehicles are based on, and famous vehicles from movies and television shows like M*A*S*H. Take the Lake Taneycomo tour and experience downtown Branson, College of the Ozarks, Lake Taneycomo and the spectacular fountains at the Branson Landing

Whichever tour you pick, there’s lots of fun and adventure to be had. Enjoy dancing and quacking along to music with your very own “Wacky Quacker” duck call. Your knowledgeable guide won’t be short on laughs as he guides you through Branson’s top sites. Once you splash down in the water, your captain may even let you try driving this unique vehicle.

The “ducks,” as they are affectionately nicknamed, are based off the designs of the DUKWs first created by General Motors in 1942. These vehicles were essentially a truck enclosed in a water-tight shell which allowed them to go into the water without being flooded. The name stands for Design, Utility (for amphibious purposes), K (front-wheel drive), W (and two rear driving axels). The first known use of the DUKWs was in March 1943 when the United States landed Army troops in New Caledonia. Later, the DUKWs were used to anchor ships to shore. The DUKWs helped limit the number of casualties during World War II and General Patton and General Eisenhower were continuously surprised at their abilities.

With Ride the Ducks, you will have an incredible sightseeing experience like no other! Now get quacking!
