Where to Find Your Favorite Branson Reality TV Stars

Branson has recently become a hotbed for reality TV, with local celebrities popping up all over town.

If you haven’t been keeping up with the Mabes or the Bradys (Greg, that is), you’d better catch up. TruTV’s “Branson Famous” is the first reality musical that profiles the long-running Baldknobbers Jamboree, while GAC features Barry Williams’ road to Branson stardom in “A Very Barry Branson.”

If your visit to Branson includes celebrity sightseeing, consider adding these star hangouts to your itinerary.

Spot the Cast of “Branson Famous”

First stop along the reality star-spotting tour is God and Country Theatres, where Brandon and Megan not so quietly dropped in on Heather’s performance in episode two. Just east of downtown Branson along Highway 76, God and Country’s two theaters feature 17 shows, from fun ABBA and Eagles tributes to all-American country and gospel.

If you’re looking for a fun way to hang with the family, head over to Shoot for the Stars Mini Golf. Next door to the Hollywood Wax Museum on Highway 76, this Hollywood-themed putt-putt course gives you a taste of stardom. Maybe you’ll have better luck avoiding family drama than Tim and Brandon did in episode seven.

*Spoiler alert: skip ahead if you’re not caught up on season one.* D’Monaco is the place for romance in Branson, so it’s no surprise Brandon brought Megan here to pop the question. This luxury resort and restaurant is perched high on a cliff with stunning views of Table Rock Lake and the Ozarks. They even have a swim-up bar.

Last but certainly not least, the best chance you have for spotting Mabe family and friends is none other than at their home-away-from-home, the Baldknobbers Jamboree Theater. For more than 55 years, the Baldknobbers have entertained thousands with their powerhouse voices and outrageous comedy. Catch them after a show — if you’re lucky, you might even be featured on the next episode of “Branson Famous.”

Get a Glimpse of Barry Williams (and other members of the bunch)

If you happen to be cruising around on Table Rock Lake, keep your eyes peeled for the star of “A Very Barry Branson,” Barry Williams. Several scenes were shot on the lake, including Barry’s first outing with the Haygoods. Barry loves Table Rock Lake so much, it’s almost always the first place he brings his celebrity visitors.

If Barry’s auditions kept you entertained in episode three, then you’ll want to catch a show where those auditions took place — the Clay Cooper Theatre. Home of The Haygoods and other hit performances, this theater is packed to the brim with exciting live shows. Plus, you might see Barry in the audience watching his besties perform.

Indulge in a bit of Branson luxury at Chateau on the Lake, an extravagant resort, spa and restaurant on Table Rock Lake. It was here where Barry and his famous TV sister, Maureen McCormick (Marsha), enjoyed a lakeside lunch as they reminisced about an embarrassing memory in episode six.

Pay a visit to the Hughes Brothers Theatre where you’ll be guaranteed a glimpse of Greg Brady. A Branson landmark, this theater plays host to 70s Music Celebration!, Barry’s other hit show. Sing along to groovy hits from the 1970s and even some Brady classics. After seeing the show, there won’t be a doubt in your mind — Barry loves Branson, and Branson loves Barry.
