May Events in Branson

With the school year nearing its end, summer is in sight. A trip to Branson is the perfect way to kick off the unofficial start of summer! Live concerts, specialty shopping, activities for veterans and commemoration events for Memorial Day are all happening this May in Branson.

BRANSON FARMERS MARKET

On every Tuesday in the month of May from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Branson Farmers Market will be conveniently located in the Branson Landing’s south parking lot near the Lake Taneycomo Bridge. A variety of locally-grown produce, handmade products, balloon artists, henna tattoo artists and music will be featured at the market.

TANGER OUTLETS THANKS TEACHERS AND NURSES

Teachers and nurses who show a valid work ID will receive a free coupon book to be used at shops within Tanger Outlets during the month of May.

BLUEGRASS AND BBQ

This popular festival at Silver Dollar City features what you’d expect – plenty of toe-tappin’ tunes and savory barbecue. Performers include Missouri’s own Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, along with The Grascals, Nothin’ Fancy and more. A special performance by Diamond Rio is slated for May 26. Bluegrass and BBQ runs May 3-27. Make sure to double check the Silver Dollar City calendar to see when the park is open.

BRANSON MARKET DAYS

If you like to shop, this is one event you won’t want to miss! Just outside the Branson Convention Center in downtown Branson, this extravaganza features handmade items, antiques, boutique products, jewelry, clothing, furniture and other wares on May 17-18.

MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCH IN BRANSON

Treating mom to brunch is a great way to celebrate her on Mother’s Day. Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks, Level 2 Steakhouse and the Chateau Grille at Chateau on the Lake are just a few of many great venues for a Mother’s Day brunch outing in Branson. 

ANNUAL VETERANS BENEFIT SHOW

The 16th Annual Veterans Benefit Show hosted by the Branson Vietnam Veterans Chapter 913 takes place May 20 at the Hamner Variety Theater. Pre-show starts at 6:30 p.m., and the show kicks off at 7 p.m. Tickets are only $15 per person. Funds go towards the Veterans Assistance Program, special projects and scholarship programs.

OPENING WEEKEND AT WHITE WATER

Over two million gallons of fun opens for the summer on May 25! From lazily floating the Aloha River to plunging more than 200 feet from the KaPau Plummet, White Water has a cool activity for everyone. 

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND SUMMER CONCERT SERIES KICK-OFF WITH ROSY HIPS AND MEMBERS ONLY 

On May 25 at 6:30 p.m., the Branson Landing’s Summer Concert Series will kick off Memorial Day weekend festivities. Rosy Hips and Members Only will give you a show you won’t soon forget. Arrive early and expereince the Pre-Concert Glitz & Glam Fashion Show at 6:15 p.m.

MEMORIAL DAY BLOCK PARTY

Take advantage of special deals at the Tanger Outlets' Memorial Day Weekend Sidewalk Sale, and enjoy novelty food items from local food trucks at the shopping center's Memorial Day Block Party on May 25-27. Keep the kids entertained while you shop with activities such as face painting, inflatables, games, a selfie station, DJ and more during the block party. Activities will take place near Under Armour.  

MEMORIAL DAY FIREWORKS 

Kick off summer with bright fireworks displays across Table Rock Lake. The Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center and Big Cedar Lodge host gorgeous fireworks that light up the sky each Memorial Day. For more information about these displays, click here
