Memorial Day Weekend Itinerary

As a community dedicated to honoring our country’s veterans and active service members, Branson is the perfect spot to spend Memorial Day Weekend! Check out our itinerary so you don’t miss some of the best ways to celebrate!

Friday

When you arrive in Branson on Friday, take some time to settle in and then head to Patriots Park at College of the Ozarks where you can view the Korean War Memorial, The Missouri Gold Star Families Memorial, The Missouri Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Alumni Veterans Memorial, the September 11 “Lest We Forget Memorial” and the newly dedicated Global War on Terrorism Memorial.

Also plan to visit the Veterans Memorial Museum, which features exhibits on the wars and conflicts of the 21st century. The names of the men and women killed in action from World War II through the USS Cole bombing are displayed on the wall of each of the ten halls in the museum.

Spend the rest of your day enjoying one (or more!) of the many attractions Branson has to offer in the Entertainment District along Highway 76. Whether you want to ride go-karts, play mini-golf, brave an extreme adventure, interact with animals or immerse yourselves in a museum, Branson has you covered!

Dust off your golf clubs, and head to one of the many world-class golf facilities located in Branson. Several courses incorporate natural rock outcroppings, waterfalls, creeks and wooded areas into their design features. Not a pro on the green? No problem! Branson has courses for all skill levels.

Or take in one of Branson’s wonderful live shows. From classic variety shows to magic to acrobatics to tribute shows to Broadway-style productions, you are sure to find something your family will enjoy!

Before you turn in for the evening, head to the Branson Ferris Wheel for a relaxing, scenic ride. And while you’re there, don’t miss Electrify: A Music a Light Spectacular on the Wheel every night at 9, 10 and 10:55 p.m. And save room for Andy’s Frozen Custard, the perfect treat to end your night!

Saturday

Get up and at ‘em early on Saturday to make the most of your day. Kick off summer by spending a day on the lake. No boat? No problem. Check out this list of marinas in the area who can outfit you with all you need to enjoy a day on the water.

Or shop ‘til you drop at one of Branson’s premiere shopping venues. In addition to the great shopping at Tanger Outlets Branson, enjoy their Memorial Day Block Party and Food Trucks from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring performances by Welk Resort’s Shrek the Musical and the Branson Regional Arts Council Youth Troupe, as well as arts, crafts and activities for the kids.

Or head to Branson Landing to shop, dine and play to your heart’s content! Don’t miss the Memorial Day Weekend Summer Concert Series Kick-Off featuring The Rosy Hips and Members Only, two don’t-miss bands that will start your summer off on the right foot! The bands will kick off at 6:30 on the stage in front of the Branson Landing Fountains.

Sunday

Head to Silver Dollar City and experience the Bluegrass and BBQ Festival where you will hear some of the best bluegrass in the country. Of course, Silver Dollar City also has plenty of rides, demonstrating craftsmen, shopping and even a tour of the incredible Marvel Cave to entertain everyone in your group!

Sunday evening choose from two spectacular events that culminate in fireworks! Visit Chateau on the Lake for their Memorial Day Celebration, complete with outdoor BBQ, live music and, of course, the fireworks display at dusk. Or head to Big Cedar Lodge for their Memorial Day Fireworks and Patriotic Picnic, which includes games, crafts, live music and a fireworks display that kicks off with a fighter jet fly over!

Monday

Squeeze in any last-minute adventures before you have to head home, and start dreaming of everything you want to add to your itinerary for your next visit to Branson!
