October Events in Branson

Picturesque fall foliage, festivals, live entertainment and frightful Halloween fun are all in store this October in Branson.

October's lineup of events features fall festivals, Halloween celebrations and so much more! You'll want to mark your calendar for these upcoming events:

FALL FESTIVALS

There's nothing like welcoming fall with celebrations of heritage, crafts, food and music. Get in the fall spirit with these festivities:

TOURING PERFORMANCES 

Not only does Branson offer world-class live shows year-around; it's also a popular stop for touring performers. Artists including The Oak Ridge Boys, Gene Watson, Ronnie Milsap, The Gatlin Brothers, The Bellamy Brothers, Dailey & Vincent, Moe Bandy and Peter Noone are scheduled to make appearances in Branson throughout the month of October. BRANSON FARMERS MARKET

At the Branson Landing’s south parking lot, the Branson Farmers Market will be available on Tuesdays through October from 3 to 7 p.m. Visitors can view vendors’ booths, which hold a variety of locally-grown and handmade products.

SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS FRIDAY FARMERS MARKET

Visitors can shop fresh produce and handmade crafts from locals from 3 to 7 p.m. each Friday through October at the popular Shepherd of the Hills homestead. Don't miss out shopping this month ... the market will end at the end of October! 

FIRST FRIDAY DOWNTOWN

During the first Friday evening of each month in 2019, Historic Downtown Branson will host free, family-friendly gatherings and entertainment in Liberty Plaza. On October 4, you can catch a movie night hosted by the city park's department. 

WALK TO END ALZHEIMER'S

The Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Join the movement this year at the Branson Landing beginning at 9:45 a.m. on October 5. Registration will run until 10 a.m., and an opening ceremony will be held before the walk at 10:15 a.m. 

RUN GRAND COUNTRY HALF MARATHON AND 5K

This family-friendly race will benefit the Branson Education Foundation, a cause that provides aid in giving children educational opportunities. The race will be held at Grand Country Resort on October 6 at 7 a.m. Registration is now open online

BRANSON AUTO AUCTION

This semi-annual auction showcases some of the most elusive historic cars in the Midwest area. Serious car lovers flock to Branson for this popular auto auction every October and April. The fall auction will be held October 18 and 19 at the Branson Convention Center. To purchase tickets in advance, call 800-335-3063. 

SIXTH ANNUAL VETERANS TROUT TEAM TOURNAMENT

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 913 will host its Sixth Annual Trout Team Tournament on October 26 at Scotty's Trout Dock and Marina. Entance fees are $75 for a two-person team. First, second and third place cash prizes will be awarded, and a luncheon will be served. Call 417-334-4288 for more information. 

HALLOWEEN EVENTS

Whether you're looking for the perfect place to trick-or-treat or get your spook on, Branson has plenty of events planned to help you celebrate.

  • Spooktacular at Shepherd of the Hills - Choose from activities such as pumpkin painting, a ropes course, rock-climbing, Baldknobber Zombie Paintball and more haunted fun at the first Spooktacular at the Shepherd of the Hills. Ticket prices vary depending on activities. Spooktacular hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the whole month of October. 

  • BOOnanza - Get your candy fix and test your costume early at the Branson Parks & Recreation's BOOnanza festival on Saturday, October 26, from 5-8 p.m. at the RecPlex's hall field complex. A costume contest, face paintings, a haunted barn and more will all be available. Entrance fees are $1 per person.

  • Safe Street Trick-or-Treat - Speaking of candy, the Branson Landing will host its 13th Annual Safe Street Trick-or-Treat event on October 31 from 5-7 p.m. Children in costume up to age 12 may trick-or-treat a variety of Branson Landing merchants. Participating stores will have pumpkin signs in windows. 

  • Trick-or-Treat Tanger Style - Tanger Shopper Services and participating stores will be handing out candy to disguised guests age 12 and younger at Branson's Tanger Outlets on October 31 from 5-7 p.m. Decals on entrance doors will identify participating stores.

  • Howling Fun Halloween Show - On October 26 at the Hughes Brothers' Theatre, the Hughes Music Show will host a special, one-night Halloween show. Costumes are encouraged! Those dressed in their Halloween best will receive a $5 discount and a free bag of treats. An optional dinner before the show at the theater will also be available. 

TITANIC MUSEUM ATTRACTION'S DOWNTON ABBEY SURPRISE 

Costumes from the multi-award winning "Downton Abbey" television series will be on an exclusive display through October at Branson's Titanic Museum Attraction. This is a special exhibit for fans and history buffs! 

CANCER AWARENESS MONTH AT TITANIC MUSEUM ATTRACTION

Also happening at Branson's Titanic Museum Attraction in October, an all-pink exhibit featuring marching flamingos and a giant, ship-mounted, 15-foot pink ribbon will be on display in support of the 2019 International Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in front of the grassy knoll at the attraction. A set of pink pumpkins will also join the flamingos through the month. The flamingos serve as honor guards for 44 people who survived the Titanic tradgedy but were later claimed by cancer – six were victims of breast cancer.
