October Events in Branson

Outdoor pools may be covered and it might be too cool for a dip in Table Rock Lake, but there are dozens of ways to have fun as Branson welcomes fall to the Missouri Ozarks.

Along with family-friendly attractions and countless dazzling live shows, Branson has dozens of special events throughout the season and leading up to the area’s traditional Ozark Mountain Christmas celebrations.

In October, that lineup of events features renowned festivals that bring thousands, such as the National Crafts and Cowboy Festival (multiple dates) at Silver Dollar City, and community activities that benefit local children, such as the Run Grand Country Half Marathon and 5K on Oct. 1.

• Reel in a keeper at The Fourth Annual Trout Tournament on Oct. 28 at Scotty’s Trout Dock and Marina. This fun fishing event is sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans of America and offers prizes for first, second and third place.

Of course, one of the main events for every October is Halloween, and the Hughes Brothers Theatre, Branson Landing and Tanger Outlets are among the places to celebrate the candy-coated holiday.

The Hughes Brothers celebrate “it” with their Howling Fun Halloween Show on Oct. 27, while Branson Landing and Tanger Outlets have special trick-or-treat activities on Oct. 31. See a show, shop and maybe take home some extra candy corn. It’s all good in Branson!
