Winter Events in Branson

With the stress of the holidays behind you and the prospects of a new year before you, it's a great time to escape to Branson to relax, decompress and ponder what the future holds.

While many attractions in Branson are on hiatus during the mid-to-late winter months, there's still plenty to do and experience on your Missouri Ozarks adventure.

In fact, one of the year's biggest events happens on Jan. 29, when Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater hosts the 24th Annual Hot Winter Fun Big Show at 7 p.m. This must-see production includes 14 performers and performance groups, including Six, Ayo starring Voices of Glory, Comedy Jamboree, Doug Gabriel, the Hughes Brothers, the cast of Legends in Concert and many others. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 the day of the show. There's also a VIP experience package for $50; it includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, balcony seats and a cash bar. More details are available online and by calling 417-339-3003.

Maybe your sense of travel is more exciting when on the water, if so, we have the perfect dinner cruise in mind. Enjoy a ride on the Branson Landing Princess Yacht Cruise with Main Street Lake Cruises every Saturday during the month of January. Plan to arrive a few minutes prior to departure at 4:45 p.m. Book your next cruise by visiting online or by calling 417-239-3980.

If you're traveling to Branson in February, make it a couple’s getaway, complete with dinner and a show.

The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is hosting a special Valentine's Day dinner on Feb. 14. The romantic setting includes dining by candlelight and a meal with selections from the chef's tasting menu. Live music and dancing are part of the experience. This wildly popular event will sell out, so reservations are required. There are two seating times; 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Call 417-239-1900 to make reservations.

If you are up for a show on the most romantic day of the year, you might opt for the 5 p.m. meal. That way, you’ll make it to the Hughes Brothers Theatre for the Valentine's Day presentation of their "it" show. The curtain for this high-energy production goes up at 8 p.m. and features one of Branson's favorite performing families.

These are just a few of the activities happening in Branson during January and February. Find out what else is waiting during your mid-winter escape to Branson when you visit ExploreBranson.com.
