BRANSON, MO | Friday, November 9, 2018 -- As part of an ongoing effort to make Branson “America’s Christmas Tree City,” the Branson Christmas Coalition works year round to inspire, encourage and facilitate Christmas tree displays throughout the area. This year the Coalition estimates there are at least 700 Christmas trees on display in the Branson area, compared to the 175 documented in 2017.
“The community is supporting this effort like never before,” explains Ann McDowell, Executive Director of the Branson Christmas Coalition. “Christmas trees, in addition to our many great holiday shows and attractions, are a unique and wonderful addition to the season for which our destination can be famous. Christmas trees are a beloved tradition that can also be new, fresh, creative and unexpected.”
So far the Coalition has documented 13 different “creative” tree displays this year. The creative category includes trees that are one-of-a-kind presentations that can only be seen in this area. Some of the creative displays include trees made from poinsettias and deer antlers. The Track Family Fun Parks have constructed a tree made from 500 up-cycled go-cart tires that is 25 feet tall. Branson has its first floating Christmas tree at the Paddlewheel on Branson Landing this year. Hiltons of Branson have

added to their spectacular “Vintage” tree made from repurposed wine bottles that debuted at their Convention Center property last year. And the new creative Christmas tree at Ripley’s Odditorium simply must be “seen” to be believed – it is covered with eyeballs.
These amazing trees, and many, many more are aglow throughout Ozark Mountain Country this Christmas season. The Branson Christmas Coalition’s complete directory is available on their website, www.BransonChristmas.org. For an interactive map to help locate each and every tree, go to www.BransonChristmas.info and click on “Tree Tour.”
“We hope people will enjoy these Christmas tree displays and share their favorites with friends and family on social media,” explains McDowell. “The idea is to showcase our area’s Christmas spirit and creativity in a way visitors have never seen before or anywhere else. Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes, wacky, wonderful, wild and whimsical are a great way to do just that.”
