You think Crappie Expo 2019 was awesome, Crappie Expo 2020 and Mr. Crappie $200K Invitational Crappie Classic Tournament will be epic in the world of crappie fishing at the “fabulous” Branson Convention Center and Table Rock Lake State Park located in the rolling hills of Branson, Missouri.

A hundred of the top crappie fishing teams in America will compete in the Mr. Crappie $200K Invitational on Table Rock Lake, host to several top bass fishing events like Bassmaster, FLW Tour and Costa Series.

Wally Marshall of Anna, Texas, known around the world as Mr. Crappie, is the organizer of the Crappie Expo and invitational tournament.

“Crappie Expo is the largest crappie event in the history of our great sport,” Marshall said in announcing the events. “Crappie Expo 2020 will consist of over 100 crappie-related companies from all over the U.S.A. displaying all of their products, including boat manufacturers, tackle dealers, fishing guides, seminar speakers, daily music concerts, plus the World’s Largest Crappie Fry.”

“Branson is a one-of-a-kind family vacation destination nestled in the lakeside beauty of the Ozark Mountains with dozens of live performance theaters, three pristine lakes, an international award-winning theme park, and lots of attractions and unique museums,” said Kirk Elmquist, VP Sports Development for Branson Chamber of Commerce and CVB. “The expo will be near the Historic Downtown district and the Branson Landing, a town center-style shopping and dining complex along Lake Taneycomo. We look forward to welcoming crappie lovers from all over this fall.”

“The Mr. Crappie Invitational Tournament will feature 100 of the top crappie teams in America competing for $200,000,” Marshall said. “Lots of crappie fishing teams will be coming to Branson, Mo. and Table Rock Lake, including teams from Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas and many other states.”

Thursday morning, October 29, the 100 teams will take off at 7 a.m. from the State Park Marina on Table Rock Lake located one mile south of the dam. Spectators will be welcome to come and learn from the crappie pros.

At 3 p.m. October 29, there will be a weigh-in at the State Park Marina. The 100 teams will be cut to 50 teams to compete on October 30.

On Friday, October 30, those 50 teams will take off at 7 a.m. from the State Park Marina and fish until 2 p.m., at which time the weigh-in will be held at the Crappie Expo in the Branson Convention Center.

Teams will be cut to the top 25 teams for the Mr. Crappie Invitational Championship on Saturday, October 31.

Saturday, the final day of the tournament, the top 25 teams will take off at 7 a.m. from the State Park Marina on Table Rock Lake with the championship weigh-in held at 3 p.m. at the Branson Convention Center to crown the winner of the largest crappie tournament payout in crappie fishing history.

“It will be a great opportunity for fishermen to come enjoy all the vendors, bait displays, boat manufacturers’ displays and the opportunity to win two free fishing boats that will be given away — one on Saturday and one on Sunday,” Marshall said. “No purchase is needed to win one of the boats, but entrants must obtain a free ticket at the Expo and must be present to win. How would you like to win a Ranger Boat?”

The World’s Largest Crappie Fry will be on Saturday, October 31, starting at 11 a.m.  Fish Fry Tickets tickets will be handed out at the Crappie Expo on Saturday, check out for more details. The fresh fried crappie, hushpuppies and taters will be given away until it runs out.

Mr. Marshall has been putting on the Big Crappie Classic fishing tournaments in locations around the country for 18 years.
