Wine and Cheese Tasting - a benefit for the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center at Mercy Kids Saturday September 17, 2016, at 6:30 pm

(Tuesday, September 6 - Branson Landing, Branson, MO) On Saturday September 17, 2016, the Sky Deck at Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline on the Branson Landing will host a special “VIP Wine and Cheese Tasting” Benefit for the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center. The “VIP Wine and Cheese Tasting” Benefit will begin at 6:30pm. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Clinic at Mercy Kids in Springfield, MO which provides medical services to children and families in the Southwest Missouri area undergoing treatment for cancer and blood related illnesses.

VIP Guests arrive at the SKY Deck in the most unique way by soaring over Lake Taneycomo on Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline. Upon arriving, guests will sample various local wines and cheeses as well as gourmet appetizers and desserts. Along with enjoying the spectacular views, the evening will feature live entertainment by Nashville recording artists Makenna & Brock.

“This year, we opened the SKY Deck to the public with weekly Zip & Sip evenings. I’m particularly excited about this event because it takes our Zip & Sip evenings to a whole new level and will benefit kids in our local community who are undergoing treatment for cancer,” says Linda Peterson, Event and Media Manager for Parakeet Pete’s Entertainment Group. “This event is especially dear to my heart because I’m the parent of a child who overcame childhood cancer. I can relate to the struggles these families are experiencing and the stress that they are dealing with. It’s important to us, as a local business, to give back to our community and help to support these families during

this stressful time in their lives.”

Along with the Wine and Cheese tasting, a silent auction is also planned with donations accepted from area businesses. Tickets to the event are $69.00 per person and include VIP Transportation by Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline, wine samples, cheese, appetizers and live entertainment and a scenic tour on Parakeet Pete’s Steampunk Balloon (also located at Branson Landing). A cash bar with cocktails and soft drinks will also be available. Advance ticket reservations are required. Space for the event is limited to 100 guests.
