Showboat Branson Belle Announces 2017 Season

"Country on the Lake" New Noon Show Tops New Décor, New Menu

An all-new Table Rock Lake experience is in store for 2017 as leadership of Showboat Branson Belle gears up for an even bigger 2017 aboard the 700-passenger paddle-wheeler. Along with an extensive list of enhancements, the announcement of an all-new noon show tops the 2017 news, adding a different genre of music as a noon complement to the already popular evening variety show, Celebrate.

“Country on the Lake will be designed as a concert cruise, featuring multi-talented rising country stars performing #1 hits from yesterday’s classic rock to country favorites of today, backed by a live band,” said Nick Guevel, Operations Director for Silver Dollar City Attractions. “We’ll include tributes to country stars of the ‘90s with songs by stars such as Garth Brooks and Faith Hill, plus include many of classic rock’s most memorable songs.” Guevel added that an enhanced “cruising” experience will provide additional opportunities for guests to enjoy the top deck, where new seating will be available for acoustic performances and expansive views of Table Rock Lake.

With the 2016 season showing increasing popularity for the Showboat, the additions and improvements are designed to be the next chapter for the Showboat Branson Belle, with 2017 product decisions based on extensive research collected from Showboat guests. Resoundingly, those surveyed love classic rock and ‘90s country music, preferring music shared across multiple generations. The noon meal offering was also queried in the research – and BBQ prepared with a local flair was a clear front runner.

“We conducted multiple focus groups and thousands of surveys where they told us they want live, upbeat music that they can sing along to – like a concert experience. They also want to enjoy the lake with their family and friends in a casual and relaxed atmosphere, with elements like acoustic performances and top-deck seating,” said Guevel. “And yes, they want BBQ at noon!”

The noon meal will include slow-smoked pork prepared by the pit master at Silver Dollar City and delivered every morning after overnight slow-cook, plus desserts prepared by the Silver Dollar City bakers. New décor brightens White River Landing and the ship internally and externally, plus a seating redesign allows more room per guest.

Country on the Lake cruises are scheduled for May 27 – Nov. 19, 2017. For more information: www.showboatbransonbelle.com or 800-755-BOAT(2628).
