Following the closing ceremonies of its 2018 charity event, Visioncon announced new dates for March 8-10 2019.

BRANSON, MO – The 2018 convention drew to a close on Sunday after thousands of fans enjoyed 3 full days of non-stop fun and celebrity encounters with stars including Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers and Sleepy Hallow), Keegan Connor Tracy (Once Upon a Time and The Magicians) and voice actor Andy Field (Five Nights at Freddy’s). With many other creators including American Wasteland Entertainment, Bruce Holt, Christopher Mihm, FX Mike Strain Jr., Gerry Kissell, Lee Kohse, Shane Moore, Steven Meissher, Kit Quinn, Eric Moran and dozens of additional artists. Almost a hundred vendors filled the Branson Convention Center with comics, toys, jewelry, props, books, original artwork and rare collectables. Cosplayers brought out their finest costumes for one of the largest costume contests on record and families enjoyed the new children’s programing lineup.

Each year, Visioncon supports a different local charity and this year proceeds benefited Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri. During closing ceremonies, Visioncon President Brandon Shane announced that more than $3,000 will be donated to this fantastic organization.

For more than two decades, Visioncon has been the annual pop culture, comic book, science fiction, fantasy, live action, role playing and gaming convention of southwest Missouri. From the beginning this Comic Con has had two main goals: offer a fun convention for all ages, and to raise money for local charities. More than 26 years later, Visioncon has given tens of thousands to area nonprofits.

Preparations for next years convention have already begun and promises to be Visioncon’s largest convention yet March 8-10, 2019 at the Branson Convention Center.
