BRANSON PARKS & RECREATION FACILITIES

Spread throughout 300+ acres, ranging from small neighborhood parks to large wilderness areas with hiking trails, The Branson Parks & Recreation Department oversees 16 parks in the City of Branson that offer a variety of recreation and leisure opportunities.  Each park has different features to offer, including picnic pavilions, playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, walking paths and trails. Additionally, their staff coordinates recreation programs and sports leagues for all ages throughout the city at various locations and facilities. The facilities include the Branson RecPlex and AquaPlex, the Branson Community Center and the Don Gardner Par 3 Golf Course.

ALEXANDER PARK

Alexander Park is a great park to take the whole family.  Located near Lake Taneycomo off Hawthorn Street, this popular park features two youth ball fields, a tennis court, a playground and a pavilion with picnic tables.  Youth baseball, softball, and soccer games are frequently played at this park.

EISERMAN PARK / DON GARDNER GOLF COURSE

Eiserman Park is home to the popular Don Gardner Par 3 Golf Course and the Branson Community Center.  A popular, lighted basketball court can be found in the park as well as a swing set and pavilion with picnic tables.

LAKESIDE FOREST WILDERNESS AREA

Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area is located in the in the heart of Branson and offers a nature escape with 140 acres of wooded and rugged hill country.  Both visitors and local citizens can enjoy this unique park with its two woodland trails that wind through forest, along bluffs and across glades.  A set of 315 stone steps lead down toward Lake Taneycomo along a path that features a waterfall and cave.  The park is located off Fall Creek Road just south of Highway 76.

The property also includes the Lyle Owen homestead, originally built in 1911, as well as a barn and almost 2,000 feet of hand-built stone walls.  The master plan for the entire property includes a new entrance, signage, additional trails, and the eventual restoration of the homestead.  Picnic areas have already been added at the trail head, the Owen Homestead, and at the south end of the loop trail.  A brochure, featuring a map of the trails and history of the site, is available at the Branson RecPlex.

NORTH BEACH PARK

North Beach Park is a scenic park located on the banks of Take Taneycomo. next to the Branson Landing (parking in Belk parking lot).  The park features a paved walking path along the lake that connects to the Branson Landing boardwalk making up 3/4 mile distance. Other park features include two fishing docks, picnic tables, barbeque grills and horseshoe pits.

STOCKSILL PARK

Stockstill Park is a favorate destination for locals and a hub of activities for adults and children alike. This popular park, which sits along Roark creek, hosts softball and tennis leagues for all ages on its softball fields and tennis courts.  Two large children’s playgrounds can be found packed with kids most all the time. Four separate covered pavilions are a popular community place for family picnics. A 1/2 mile paved walking trail surrounds the park.  A soccer field and a skate park can also be found in this 62 acre park.  Future plans call for a Dog Park to be added.

Two different entrances are available to access the park.  You may either take west Hwy 76, north on Walnut Street, and then west on Stockstill Lane into the park; or take Hwy 248 west, south on Epps Road, and then east on Melody Penner Lane.

SUNSET PARK

Sunset Park sits along Lake Taneycomo near Alexander Park and features a lighted 6/10 mile paved walking path. A disc golf course can be found in the interior of the park.
