Sep 26 - Apr 10 Titanic's Rose Petal Memorial Tribute
Often, guests have asked if they could somehow honor the passengers and crew. For the first time ever, when you visit each ship now and throughout the entire year leading up to April 2012, guests will be given an actual rose petal and that rose petal will be placed into a memorial case - which will then go out to sea on April 10, 2012. All of the rose petals will be placed out to sea by the Coast Guard at the exact site where we lost Titanic 100 years ago.

Ever wonder what happened to each of the survivors onboard the Titanic? Beginning September 1, 2011 - For the first time in the world, the Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson, Mo will guide you through the individual journeys of each of the survivors on our NEW EXCLUSIVE Survivors' Wall of Stories. Learn the details of their lives following the greatest maritime disaster of all time. Our mission is to honor each of the passengers and crew who sailed Titanic by telling their stories and passing along this important part of history to you and your family. Feb 26 - Mar 30 "Ozarks Romance" Exhibit
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
When did the tradition of a bride wearing white develop? What homespun remedy is a “sure cure” for a complexion problem? How can you be sure you dream of your future spouse? Answers to these questions and more are answered during the White River Valley Historical Society’s "Ozarks Romance" exhibit, where love is in the air through March 30. The exhibit, created by members of the Society, gives visitors a look at marriage and courtship in the area, including folklore, chivarees, anniversaries, hope chests, and shotgun weddings. Vintage gowns and nightgowns are part of the display, as well as valentines from the 1930’s, albums, hope chest items, and a ‘parlor’ ready for the big day! The White River Valley Historical Society is located at 297 Main Street, Forsyth, across from the Judicial Facility, with a museum, research library and bookstore/gift shop. Regular operating hours, weather permitting, are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with no admission charge.The Historical Society’s website is www.wrvhs.org.
Mar 1 - Mar 31 Irish Month at Titanic
Sure and begorrah, 'tis a great day to be Irish. This popular month-long annual event brings out the Irish in everyone who comes around. Music, Singing, dancing, tall talkes and Gaelic humor will rock the boat in joyous celebration of the men, women and the country that gave birth to Titanic.

We'll choose from thousands of contestants who entered the Titanic Museum Attraction's Royal Wedding Contest. Sunday, Apr. 1 Centennial History Museum Grand Opening and Celebration
Beginning at 1 p.m.
  Excitement reigns in the city of Branson, Missouri as its centennial year celebration is surrounding every ounce of preparation pouring into the Grand Opening of the Branson Centennial Museum slated for Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 1pm. The Museum, situated at the corner of Business 65 and Main Street in the very heart of Branson, will welcome notables, citizens and visitors that day to hear snippets of speech as recited by its forbearers, have opportunity to sign a copy of the original 1912 petition to incorporate as a city, and enjoy an afternoon of street musicians, walking tours, and story tellers. The celebration event begins at 2:00pm with Mayor Raeanne Presley and invited speakers arriving at the Museum entrance in horse drawn carriage. Ceremonial elements, including a blessing of the crowd by Bob Hubbard, the National Anthem, performed by local George Dyer, and a Color Guard presentation by local Veterans will set the tone for an earnest but uplifting celebration for its citizens. Celebrity Ventriloquist Jim Barber will serve as Emcee, and featured Speakers in addition to Mayor Presley include Museum Supporter Leon Combs and Katie Danner, Department of Missouri Tourism. Following the formal ceremonies, citizens are invited to sign a mock version of the petition, enjoy comedy entertainment and follow a Dixieland band into Downtown Branson for more music, fun and festivities until 5pm.  The intersection of Business Highway 65 and Main Street will be slowed to traffic during the ceremony, between 1:15 and 2:30pm. Those attending the festivities are encouraged to utilize both available city and street parking, and to come early to get the best viewing spots in front of the Museum. Seating will not be provided for this short ceremony.  The Branson Centennial Museum is the fruition of a labor of love, culminated through the work of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce (BLACC), the City of Branson, The Downtown Branson Mainstreet Association (DBMA) and The White River Valley Historical Society (WRVHS) intertwined over the course of many years. Through the gracious donation of space from Mr. Jim D. Morris, philanthropist and local merchant, the Museum will reside at 101 Veterans Blvd in a building formerly housing Morris Oil Company. With its prime visibility, visitors and locals alike will find the museum attractive and engaging. Exhibits will remain fresh and interesting, with rotations expected on a six-eight week basis, depending on content. The annual Easter Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, hosted by the Branson Tri-Lakes Kiwanis Club, is Saturday morning, April 7 at Applebee's in Branson. All-you-can-eat pancakes are free for kids under age 4, and adult tickets are $5. Children will be able to visit with the Easter Bunny, and pictures will be available for an extra charge, provided by SwiftShots. Supplies for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny are donated by Applebee's, Bob Evans, Golden Corral and Country Mart in Hollister, with proceeds benefiting Gift of Hope.

This FREE community event has been known to draw upwards of 2,000 people to the Hollister High School Football Field—to watch as kids grab at the 5,000 candy-filled eggs on the field! Wednesday, Apr. 11 Dino and Cheryl present "A Tribute to the Titanic"

Join Dino and Cheryl as they pay tribute to the Titanic. This is the 100th anniversary of the Titanic, which sailed with many notable people of the day. From the maids to the first class passengers, this ishow that will celebrate the many nationalities that were on the ship. Music, costumes, sets and special effects will make this show one you won't want to miss.
Apr 12 - Apr 27 Mr. Peck's Golden Egg Treasure Hunt
Clues are sent out over The Great American Steak and Chicken House facebook page throughout the day leading his friends throughout the Branson area to his golden eggs.  Go to www.Facebook.com/BransonsBigChicken Look for the picture of the Golden Egg (titled “Golden Egg Hunt”) click on it, read through, submit your name and email and then follow the directions.  It is that easy!! There will be at least 5 Golden Eggs and 1 Grand Golden Egg. This is going to be one crazy fun event, and YOU are invited!      (Participants must be 18 yrs. Or older and have agreed to the “Terms and Rules”) Gather your clues any time of the day but eggs can only be searched for during business hours (9-5) M-F Clues will be sent out over “facebook.com/bransonsbigchicken” starting Thursday April 12th with possible added clues given throughout the week.  Make sure you “like” The Great American Steak and Chicken House as well as our other restaurants (Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House, Whipper Snappers, The Plantation Restaurant, Baldknobbers),  because they will possibly throw out a clue or two.  These clues will lead participants around the Branson/ Hollister area in search of 5 “mini eggs”, each holding a prize from other area participants and then finally 1 Grand prize inside Mr. Peck’s Golden Egg. Once the mini egg has been found, participants will be asked to redeem it through our office, only one winner per prize. (In the event that more than one individual finds an egg at the same time, there will be a drawing of names to determine who gets the prize) Pictures of the winner at the location of the egg, with the establishment, will be taken before prizes are handed out.  These pictures, as well as the name of the individual will be royalty-free with no-compensation for public relations purpose.  Each prize has its own redeeming date and specifications, so please check. Once the winner turns in the “mini” golden egg, he/she will be the first to see the next clue before it is posted on facebook.  All clues will lead someone to the grand prize, Mr. Peck’s Golden Egg.

In memory of the ship's 2,208 passengers and crew, the museum attraction will host a special commemorative candlelight ceremony featuring choral groups and the lighting of the Titanic Eternam Flame. Distress fire rockets will be launched, bringing a solemn end to a once-in-a-lifetime event, not to return for 100 years.

Hosted at the celebrated RFD-TV The Theatre on West Highway 76 in Branson, Missouri and featuring Carrie April Tillis as the mistress of ceremonies, this “once-in-one hundred years” musical extravaganza assures that will not a moment of Branson’s storied entertainment spectrum will be overlooked. May 17 - May 19 The 52nd Annual Plumb Nellie Days
The 52nd Plumb Nellie Days Art & Craft Festival, May 17-19, 2012 will celebrate the home-spun and artistic side of Historic Downtown Branson.  Since 2012 is Branson’s Centennial, activities that were attractions during the first few years of Plumb Nellie Days will highlight the historical event, such as a Reuben Branson Look-Alike Contest.  The city was named after Reuben Branson who was postmaster and store owner here in the 1880s. The DBMA will announce more about the contest in February, but now is the time to start growing those beards men! The Plumb Nellie Days stage will host a notable line up of entertainers throughout the event, plus a special booth where performers can meet and greet their fans. A very popular feature of Plumb Nellie Days is its Friday night street dance with a live band, 6:30-9:30 p.m.   The three day event is in downtown Branson on Commercial Street at the corners of Commercial and Main streets, an entire city block. Few changes have been made since Plumb Nellie made its debut in April 1960. The event has grown to more than 100 artisans and crafters. May 19 - May 20 Gridiron Golf Classic and NFL Celebrity Pro-Am to benefit Tantone
On May 19 and 20 NFL players, coaches and staff will make their way to Branson in support of Tantone Industries, Inc. Kansas City Chiefs’ Neil Smith, Mike Maslowski, Billy Baber & Shawn Barber and St. Louis Rams’ Josh Hull & James Laurinaitis are just a few of those scheduled to attend.  The Gridiron Golf Classic is a two day event held at LedgeStone Country Club in StoneBridge Village. On Saturday, May 19, St. Louis and Kansas City will take to the course to battle it out for the coveted Gridiron Golf Cup. With a 1-4 record, St. Louis is really hoping this year will be the year they reign over Kansas City. Saturday evening, the public is invited to attend a dinner, auction and dance in which they will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with NFL Celebrities and Tantone Employees. Cost to attend the event is $30 per person. Tickets can be purchased at Tantone Industries, Inc. on East 76, Ernie Biggs on Branson Landing, Take 1 Hair Studio in Hollister and LedgeStone Country Club. You can also purchase tickets at the door.  On Sunday, May 20, the Pro Am Scramble tees off at 10:00am. Teams of four will be paired up with a NFL Celebrity to make a five man team. The Country Throwdown Tour, headlined by platinum-selling artist Gary Allan, will be featured at the amphitheater on May 19.  The show will utilize three stages and showcase performances by eight artists and groups.  In addition to Allan, the main stage will include performers Justin Moore and Josh Thompson.  Country music singers featured throughout the day on adjacent stages include: Sunny Sweeney Eric Paslay Florida-Georgia Line Rose Falcon Carly Pearce Maggie Rose Gary Allan is known his hit songs “Tough Little Boys,” “Nothing On But The Radio” and “Man to Man, among others. In total, he has charted 24 singles in his 15 year career.  Justin Moore, a rising country music star, is best known for his smash hit “Small Town USA.”

Wednesday, May. 23 Andy Williams Moon River Grill Hosts Twister for the Twister PJ Party

The Cat’s Pajamas – vocal band will be hosting a late night pajama party at Andy Williams Moon River Grill on May 23rd from 9pm until 1am. The classic family game TWISTER will be played for a $1 donation per person per game.  All donations will be given to The Community Foundation of the Ozarks for the Branson Tornado Relief and Recovery Fund. This event, Twister for the Twister PJ Party Hosted by The Cat’s Pajamas – vocal band, is one of many late night parties and events at the Andy Williams Moon River Grill since its opening this April with new late night hours.
