Best Things to Do in Branson - Elijah Bauer

     If you're thinking about going to Branson, this is for you! Before you go to Branson, there are some things you should know, like when to go to attractions or where to eat. First thing you should know is that most of the atrractions are on the strip with places like WonderWorks, Fritz’s Adventure Park, and don’t forget the endless country shows and performances like The Haygoods, The Sight and Sound Theater, and Dolly Parton's Stampede as well as The Presley’s!

     The first attraction on this list is the famous Silver Dollar City! With its 1800s charm and appearance it catches your eye when you're driving around Branson. However, Silver Dollar City isn't just an 1800s park, it's an 1800s theme park! If you thought it was just shows you're wrong, it has over 40 rides and attractions! The most popular attractions, though, are the roller coasters Silver Dollar City has: Wildfire, Time Traveler, Powder Keg, and the most debatable of them all Fire in the Hole. The reason is that some classify it as a dark ride then a roller coaster. Don't think it's all coasters and shows though because it also contains 18 restaurants all of them being award winning. My personal favorite is Molly’s Mill. It's kind of tucked away near the entrance though so don’t miss it!

     The second location is WonderWorks, being a wonderful experience for the whole family! It has lots of different attractions inside the building making you really feel like you're in a scientist laboratory. Guests first walk through a hallway that spins as you go through it. After, you're greeted with a small projector screen showing how this place was made. Then you can either ride bikes attached to poles that spin, and if you want to go faster and do a loop, you have to pedal. Next, visitors go up a staircase painted to look like a farm house. When you reach the top, there's a hurricane wind zone and a model rocketship that you can enter. After you go through a hallway there’s more space activities. Next, the guests go through a Doctor Seuss room with animals from his books mounted on the walls and this room really feels like the animals are real. Then, you go down an elevator to the bottom floor where there’s a gift shop and an exit.

     After you’re finished, you can go to Fritz’s Adventure Park! Ripley’s makes you feel like you are exploring an old warehouse. Visitors go through a slide or down a staircase to get to the base floor. You are then greeted to a small parkour course, a silo with slides coming out of it and a pathway to the other attractions. After going down the path you can go on a rope course that's three stories high! To the left of that there's an area that looks like a supply yard for ships. You can go inside them to see that they're filled with oil barrels and there’s a hole in the ground that leads to a series of passageways that come out across the park. Back to the shipyard: it is like the underground passageways except with ropes and bars to climb up the containers. But if you climb to a special area, and have the required arm band, you can zipline across the inside and outside of the park.

     And in the summer there is White Water. As soon as you enter you feel like you're on the Hawaiian islands with gigantic waterslides and tikiheads. My favorite slide there is the KaPau Plummet which can be seen from the road near White Water. White Water has many slides including Tube slides, Body slide, drop slides, and kiddie slides. It also has a large wave pool that plays movies from time to time. It also has a small kiddie section for the young ones.

Best Memory - Koby Fitzwater

     There are over 200 attractions in Branson: some are well known, such as Silver Dollar City and some are less-known, but still really awesome. In Branson, the possibilities are endless. Right now, Branson is constantly progressing and evolving. My best memory and favorite place is Fritz’s Adventure, the place that everyone knows for its awesome food, amazing games to play, and the coolest attractions to look at and even interact with. I have many great memories in Branson, but this one has stuck to me in a special way to this day. I was on the way there with my friend, Tate. I had been waiting all week to go. It was Friday and we had just left school. We were talking about where we should eat before Fritz’s right when his mom picked us up. We all agreed on McDonalds, and we ate really quick so we would have plenty of time to play. Tate's mom received our wristbands to get in. I was distracted by the many things that were going on.

     Kids were hiding, waiting for their seeker to find them, climbing on the treetops above me, and going into all the interesting and amazing things. A cool airplane hung in the air with an awesome realistic look to it. Right as we got our wristbands, we blasted off and explored the whole place. There was so much stuff that you could do; I don’t know how you could get bored. We explored while waiting for the rest of our friends to be there. The best thing to do at Fritz’s Adventure is hide and seek: there are so many places to hide, such as the tunnels underground, in the air, or higher up. We found some cool places that we thought our friends would never find and other things to do when we were done playing hide and seek. Our friends came in right as we were done exploring. 

     We arranged teams and got right to it. My team was seeking first. Everyone scattered and hid. Hiding is my favorite part, you're waiting for the excitement to hear them. Then you have to find a new spot while being quiet but fast. We counted to two minutes then went downstairs. We first saw Tate, sliding right down the tunnels. We split up and went after him. We chased him down but then he disappeared, he must have taken a different tunnel than us. Right as we got out of the tunnels, we saw the other part of our team chasing my friend, Colter. We joined them and tagged him out. We kept on seeking and hiding till Tate went up on the treetops. We all got our safety gear on and joined him right as we saw the fun he was having. We climbed, ziplined and had so much fun that we would never forget. We played, and played, and played till it was time to go home. 

     We all had so much fun that day enjoying all the things that Branson has to offer. In that one amazing trip we only experienced some of the cool things Branson has. Now you have to feel that joy of all the sightseeing activities that add to fun experiences, friends and family times, exploration, and most importantly great memories. Make sure to remember that memories last forever, there are many things that don’t. That is why some of these trips and adventures are so important to me and many other people, and is the reason that we have Branson. In my opinion one of the best places to go to is Fritz’s Adventure, but that is totally up to who you are and what you like. We all never forgot about that awesome and fun experience, and if you go I doubt you would either.

If I was a Branson Business Owner - Blakely Birlew

     If you have ever been to Branson, Missouri, you think about neon lights and theatres, but the real magic is in their delicious food options. With undiscovered treasures being found left and right, this flavored-packed town is evolving rapidly! It’s a town you don’t want to sleep on, with secret bakeries, luxurious steakhouses, and celebrity-inspired restaurants. If I could open any business here though, I would open Sip & Sparkle, a soda shop that would stand out in a town of adventure. 

     My business wouldn’t sell your average sodas. We would specialize in Dirty sodas. After a long day in Branson, all you would want is a yummy sweet drink.  If you have never heard of dirty sodas before, they are sodas mixed with unique flavored syrups, coconut cream, fresh lime, and you could even add popping boba if you’d like. Each drink would be crafted to create bold, and exciting flavors. A sparkling Sprite mixed with coconut cream, fresh lime, and pineapple syrup, creating a tasty, fizzy drink that tastes sweet, slightly tangy, and refreshing, like a tropical breeze on a hot summer day. Another option Sip & Sparkle would have to offer is a crisp Dr. Pepper mixed with vanilla, and coconut, giving it that rich and sweet flavor that feels like the dessert that you deserve. 

     To compliment these tasty drinks we would offer a variety of trending, delicious snacks. We would serve warm, golden brown soft pretzels with a perfectly toasted outside and a soft, fluffy inside, served with a creamy, in-shop made cheese sauce that melts with every bite. There would be many other fun snacks with sweet, and savory flavors, like a cup of strawberries served with dubai chocolate filling drizzled with smooth, scrumptious nutella chocolate spread. To keep the excitement we would have a seasonal sweet treat menu that would be updated each month.

     Sip & Sparkle wouldn’t just be an ordinary snack shack, it would be filled inside and out with pastel-colored seating, glowing neon signs, and cozy lounge areas where people can relax and hang out with friends. String lights would hang across the ceiling, creating a warm and welcoming feeling, especially at night to chill while sipping and snacking. It’s the kind of place outsiders would be drawn to, and immediately want to take a picture.  It would stand out, and intrigue many.   

     This business would fit right into Branson, and because of the unique treats it has to offer, this restaurant would become one of the main attractions in Branson. After a long day of exploring Branson, visitors could come to Sip & Sparkle to relax with friends, and enjoy a fun, refreshing treat in a place that feels extremely exciting and welcoming.

     Branson is not all about entertainment, it is also about the memories that will be made time and time again. With more unseen wonders being found every day, Branson is growing like never before.  Sip & Sparkle would be a one of a kind restaurant, with an unforgettable atmosphere. Once people discover it, it would quickly become a must visit destination for all pets, and all people.

Where Music, Mountains, and Magic Meet: Discovering Branson - Chloe Davis     

     Branson is a unique, family-friendly vacation in the Ozarks of Missouri, giving your family the perfect weekend getaway. There are many things you can do in Branson from food places to outdoor activities, like Fritz's Adventure which is one of my favorite places to go with friends or family. It is a wholesome mix of country, gospel, and pop-culture, often described as the “live Entertainment Capital of the World”. Yet just beyond the shimmer, pine forests are as quiet as mice and buzzing like bees, reminding you that the wild heart of the mountains is always close by. If I had to explain Branson to someone who has never visited, I would explain it as a giant neon playground carved into the side of a mountain. 

      There are multiple things you could do to have a wonderful weekend: from food places to amusement parks, shopping locations, and shows. Branson can really start feeling like a neon playground, when highway 76 glows like an electric river. Where theaters, roller coasters, and dinner shows compete to outshine the stars. Lights and laughter rising out of the misty Ozarks hills makes Branson unlike anywhere else. 

      There are many shows that you and your family might enjoy. A few of the most popular shows are The Haygoods, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, and The Presley’s Country Jubilee. Each show has its own personality, and they all try hard to make the audience smile, laugh, and clap along. For families, this makes Branson a perfect vacation spot because there is something for everyone, no matter their age.

      Besides live shows, Branson has multiple attractions. One of the attractions is Silver Dollar City, a theme park that is based on an old 1880s town. It has thrilling roller coasters, entertaining shows, and delicious food like cinnamon bread, which is one of my family and I’s favorite things to get at Silver Dollar City. There are also craft demonstrations where people show how things were made long ago. Silver Dollar City is also known for its festivals throughout the year, like the Christmas celebration where the whole park lights up with millions of sparkling lights. `The center of attention is the Grand Fir, which is a 45 foot tree that has 30,000 lights.

      Nature is another big part of what makes Branson extremely special. The city sits in the middle of the Ozark Mountains. There are hills, forests, and lakes everywhere you look. Table Rock Lake, which is one of the most popular spots, it’s perfect for swimming, fishing, and boating. There are also many hiking trails, and scenic overlooks where you can enjoy the peaceful beauty of Missouri’s outdoors. During fall, the trees turn bright shades of red, orange, and yellow, making the views even more stunning. 

      Downtown Branson and the Branson Landing are great places to shop and eat. The Branson Landing is a shopping area along Lake Taneycomo with restaurants, stores, and a large fountain that puts on water and light shows every night. You can walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the view of the water and hills in the distance.   

      In the end, Branson is a place full of heart. It combines fun, family, and nature in a way that makes people feel welcome. Whether you want to see an amazing show, ride a roller coaster at Silver Dollar City, or just relax by a lake on a boat, Branson has something for you. It’s not just a vacation spot, it’s a place where you can make lasting memories.

A Trip to Remember - Kellan Manning    

     Branson is a really fun place in Missouri and a great place to have fun. Kids have many choices of what to do in Branson, like Silver Dollar City and White Water. Another place to have fun and shop is the Landing where you can browse stores and watch fountain shows that can amaze children.

     Another way that children get amazed is by going to mini golf places such as Bigfoot Funpark. Along with that, while playing there you go into a cave and see a wolf stuck in a cage  and when you walk past, it barks at you which can get a good scare out of you and the kids. Then, there is the Wax Museum where you look at wax statues that look really realistic. With that, if you look up you will see a gorilla that's holding a plane. It might amaze you and the children. And if you're looking to remember a moment, go to White Water where you go on lazy rivers, waterslides and also can go to the stands to get food.  

     My personal favorite place to go with my family is a place where you ride go-karts and play in an arcade or you can play glow in the dark minigolf. It's called The Track. With that thought, you also go down steep hills and catch wind, but keep your hands in the kart! The employees try their best to make you and your children have a wonderful time. And if you were worried about your little ones driving, there are two-seated carts where the adult drives while the child rides with you.

     During Christmas there are a bunch of lightshows that you can watch with your family. The Ferris Wheel has LEDS which play a lightshow on it so that's a good way to spend time with family. Also, doing some trails can give you a higher view of Branson which can make it look beautiful. Silver Dollar City has holiday customizations. My favorite one they do is Halloween because there are so many pumpkins and a lot of different decorations. Then there are the Christmas decorations where they put up snowflakes and snowmen around the place and can get the kids in a holiday spirit.

     But out of all of these the main way that kids have fun is when they are experiencing these moments with family and friends. Like me when I go out with my brother and sister, we make moments to remember for a while, so maybe you and your family will do the same. What me and my siblings had the most memories of is the landing because it's a free place where you can walk around and browse stores. There are some places where you can get some good food like El Lago where it's a Mexican restaurant with really good cheese. Then there is Golden Corral where you get multiple choices of food you can eat. 

     Finally, just make sure you and your family can have fun and make the most of living in Branson because you never know if you will come back, but always will want to return to the place we mostly all love, Branson Missouri.

Indoors and Outdoors for Branson - Mark Welch

     There are many things to do indoors and outdoors in Branson. My personal favorite for outdoors is Silver Dollar City. Then, my personal favorite for indoors is WonderWorks. Otherwise, there are many other things that you could do indoors. Let's go through why they are my favorite.

     My Favorite thing to do in Branson outdoors is Silver Dollar City. My first favorite thing for attractions there is Grandpa’s Mansion and the fire station section in the back of the park. I like them because Grandpa’s Mansion has weird, slanted floors and upside down rooms and a lot of weird rooms. Then, there are many many food options, but my favorite things for food are the potato twists and the pretzels. The pretzels come with a cheese cup and the potato twist can have salt, pepper, or other seasonings. Rides that can be found include Fire In The Hole or Time Traveler.

     A really good option for doing something indoors in Branson is WonderWorks. In WonderWorks, there are many many science exhibits. One of my most memorable exhibits is one where it tests how much weight you can pull, you sit down on a seat while trying to pull yourself upwards. One that feels weird is the nail bed and its a plastic board with wide holes in it. When you press a button, nails rise from the holes and from my personal experience, it feels great. Another exhibit that is pretty fun is a place with giant bubble blowers and a whole bathtub full of soap fit for bubbles. Also in WonderWorks, they have a restaurant with food like nachos and pretzels or you could get a hotdog with cheese and ketchup.

     Then there are some smaller outdoor attractions and indoors ones too, and there is one place that is both indoor and outdoor but we will get to that later. My personal favorite small outdoor attraction is putt putt or known as mini golf. There are many many different types of mini golf, some are dinos and pirates and one of them is an oceanic indoor one. An indoor one could be Fritz's adventure which is a place with rock climbs and ziplines but personally, I’m not gonna like that stuff for a long time.

     Now for the huge indoor and outdoor attraction, Grand Country! It is a place with a whole waterpark that goes indoors with many slides and outdoors that have one giant pool. They also have a glow in the dark putt putt and an arcade right on the other side of it. Their food is many options like pizza or burgers. Also, if you wanted to try everything, you can take a hotel right on the side of the building that is owned by Grand Country. That is just crazy for one place to have a waterpark, restaurant, putt putt, and a hotel! For this conclusion this just means if you are ever bored, there are many many options to do in the heart of Branson, Missouri.

Branson's Finest Day - Natalia Beck

     If I were to have my dream day in Branson, I would start by kidnapping all of my friends. (Not literally, just to hangout.) After finding and picking up all of my friends, the day would begin. We would start by heading to a hotel like my favorite one, called A Thousand Hills in Branson. Once we had checked in and set up our Airbnb for an amazing stay, we would head to the Old Time Photo shop for some unforgettable fun. The Old Time Photo shop in Branson has a variety of fun timelines to choose from: Western or Saloon, Victorian or Southern Belle, and Roaring 20s or Gangster. 

     When you pick a theme for the photos, the employees will take you into a room where you can pick your costume like dresses and hats. After you choose an outfit, they’ll take you to the dressing rooms. In this room, you can pick extras like necklaces, shoes, and fishnets for girls and women. Once dressed, your belongings will be placed into a basket and you will be taken to the photography room. In the photography room, there will be three different settings for you to pose in based on the theme you chose at the beginning. The kind employees will take you to the designated setting and give you props. Props for the western theme include: guns, and fans, while victorian has fans and dolls. If you want to know more, then you should come on down to the Old Time Photo Shop in Branson.

     My personal favorite thing to do in Branson is explore: No destination, just an amazing experience. One time, me and my Mum wandered so far that we found a giant trail. After we had parked, we walked down the trail and then realized it led to a small tower. When we climbed it, we could see almost all of Branson. It was an amazing opportunity to get closer with the wilderness and a good family bonding time.

     I love Branson and all the opportunities it provides, the fun activities, and the unforgettable experiences. Everyone in Branson is so hardworking  and kind, I really hope you can come to Branson and explore with every one. Honestly, the employees in Branson are almost more hardworking than anyone. The employees persevere through rude customers and long days, devoting their life in order to give other people an amazing experience.

     I also love going to Silver Dollar City! There are so many things to do and little limitations. And as long as you are tall enough, you can ride every single ride. I was able to ride all rides by the age of 11, and let me tell you, that freedom is a HUGE upgrade. The rides get more exciting and stomach twisting. But it’s ok if that’s not for you, they also have options like the food or zoo sections. No good amusement park limits the guests to one option. Speaking of options, they are also building a new resort that will open in 2027 and all will be welcome to enjoy the never-ending fun!

     And while these are all amazing options, and places I wholeheartedly recommend you to try, you are not limited to just what someone tells you or review-based locations. No one will have the same experience, and there are many more options than just the ones here!

Places to Eat - Lauren Carpenter

     The town of Branson is a fun and cool place full of attractions, but if I'm being honest Branson is overlooked. With its great food, shops, and shows, if you're choosing a spot to go on a vacation, Branson is a good choice to go with family. Who doesn't love that? With all of the shops, I think it should definitely be more popular especially around the holidays. You should definitely come, if you're in the area it's a great place to hang out. There are a lot of places to eat, but only some that take the show. Some of those places include Mochas and Meows, Downing Street Pour House, and The Funky Twig. 

     There are a lot of great fun places to eat in Branson, but my absolute favorite is Mochas and Meows. You can not only get a really great drink, but to top off the experience there's really sweet cats you can meet and potentially adopt! I only really get Chai Lattes, but I'm sure their other drinks are good too. The hardworking staff there can be very flexible with diets and allergies if you request it. Mochas and Meows also has monthly fundraisers for no-kill animal shelters like Branson Humane Society. Their monthly events include Cat Yoga, Cat Bingo, and Meows and Masterpieces. This really is a fun, budget-friendly place to spend your weekend and maybe even make a new friend.  

     Downing Street Pour House is a great restaurant to visit. Whenever I’m there, it feels like I'm in a fantasy. The whimsical mossy brick looks like a cottage in the woods, very nostalgic. I love eating their burgers, but the fries… out… of… this… world! If my family and I are in the area we love going to the Pour House, and we are out a lot, so we go there all the time. Their menu includes burgers and fries, and sammiches (That's what they're called), and more. If you're looking for a restaurant to eat at when you're stopping by, Pour House is the one to try. Although it's located in Hollister, it's not that far away from Branson.

     If you're in Kimberling City, another cool place to get some dessert is The Funky Twig! The Funky Twig is a family-owned and operated ice cream shop and lounge. The Funky Twig has lots of well… funky flavors like Dark Chocolate Cayenne or PB and J, but also normal flavors like Strawberry, Chocolate, and Vanilla. Their lounge chairs are really comfy and fun whether it's just you or your whole family. I recommend their milkshakes because you can mix flavors and make the perfect shake just for you, but their funky flights and frappes are good too. The Funky Twig also has a boutique inside the shop which is super fun. 

     In conclusion, all these places have perks and benefits. Although there are lots of other good places, these are just my favorite. I hope this helped you decide what to order, or where to go for whatever occasion you have. Thank you for reading! BYE!

What is the Best Season to Visit Branson, and why? - Tate Funk

     Summer is the best time to go to Branson. The Branson/Lakes area brings in 65,000 visitors daily, and the city of  Branson gets around 10 million visitors per year. Even though people visit year-round, the majority  of the people come in the summer. You should come in the summer because all Branson's attractions are open during summertime and some attractions are open later into the evening. Another reason you should visit Branson is they have a wide variety of shows, attractions, and even places to eat.

     White Water is a very popular attraction and is a big piece of Branson, Mo. White Water is a waterpark only open in the summer that gets thousands of tourists daily. This is a great place to cool off, and have fun with friends and family. This amazing waterpark has over 2 million gallons of water in the park, is ranked the #5 best outdoor water parks, and has dozens of attractions. Whitewater also has 13 acres with waterslides throughout it, including a 7 story slide. My favorite part of the park is the slides for the instant Kalani Tower, and the Drop slides. Kalani Towers is the  big 7-story tall slide I mentioned earlier. The Drop Slides are these slides that count down then drop you down to the bottom of the slide. Both slides go fast and are really enjoyable and fun. Another reason I like White Water is because it is fun to go with friends.

     Next is Ziplining.  Ziplining is another great attraction for adults and kids that like adventuring.  All zipline places in Branson are open in the summer. One zippling adventure is the Vigilante Extreme Ziprider that launches you from 140 feet in the air and reaches up to 50mph. Also, it is even more enjoyable when it cools you off. The Ziprider is so easy to get into, instead of a harness, it is a seat you sit in. According to USA Today “The Vigilante! Voted #1 Aerial Adventure Park in America."

      Another great place that brings lots of tourists from all over the world is Ballparks of America. Ballparks of America has baseball tournaments every weekend. Later in the baseball season, they have lots of weeklongs where you stay in their team suites and play on their MLB replica fields. The fields they have are St Louis , Boston , Kansas City, Brooklyn, and Chicago. At the end of the baseball season, they have this world series called the Cal Ripken. The world series brings kids from all over the world, for instance the Caribbean, Missouri, and different places from all over the world. My baseball team played in the weeklong and played in tons of tournaments there on the weekend. Also it is a very good ballpark with great competition and an amazing complex.

     In conclusion, summer is the best time to visit Branson, there are so many fun and exciting opportunities you would not be able to experience in your home town. Branson has a big variety of options ranging from Ziplines, to waterparks, to sport complexes, and much more. Branson Mo gets millions of visitors from all over the world for vacations and much more.
