Experience Shepherd of the Hills in Branson

At Branson’s Historic Shepherd of the Hills Farm, there’s no limit to fun. See what family adventures lie ahead!

Shepherd of the Hills

Shepherd of the Hills Farm has been a favorite of Branson visitors for decades. The Ozark Mountains caught Nation's interest in 1907 when Harold Bell Wright’s novel, The Shepherd of the Hills, was published.

Wright’s characters in the novel are based on people he met during his visit to the Ozark Mountains in the late 1800’s, and the places he describes are on or surrounding the Shepherd of the Hills property of today. While visiting, you can take a Historic Farm Tour and experience the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama, which bring Wright’s timeless tale to life.

In addition to the classic outdoor drama, take in additional shows like WhoDunnit Hoedown - A Murder Mystery, The Great American Chuckwagon, or A Shepherd’s Christmas Carol and more on select dates.

The Adventure Park is full of a variety of exciting activities for all ages. Due to their adventure park installment, Shepherd of the Hills was recently voted USA Today’s Best Aerial Adventure Park in America! For an adrenaline rush, take a Zipline Canopy Tour. Those who want just a little adventure can take a shorter canopy tour that requires little hiking and no stair-climbing—great for the whole family! Also, make sure to check out their newest addition to the park: Copperhead Mountain Coaster! Branson’s longest downhill Mountain Coaster snakes through riveting loops, drops and curves in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. You can ride during the day or the night.
