This holiday season, sip a cup of Silver Dollar City’s hot chocolate while taking in the millions of twinkling lights and holiday scenery at Christmas in Midtown and an all-new show! We’re convinced nothing will make your holidays brighter.

This year, Silver Dollar City's An Old Time Christmas® is a four-time winner of a USA Today 10 Best Readers' Choice poll for the nation's Best Theme Park Holiday Event. Christmas in Midtown and An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City is open November 4 - December 30, 2023.

Joy on Town Square

Last Christmas season, Silver Dollar City introduced Joy on Town Square, featuring an 8-story, high-resolution lighted Christmas Tree that can create animated imagery. Surrounding the new Christmas tree in the Joy on Time Square are buildings, trees and landscape fully dressed in captivating Christmas lights and décor. It’s something you must see to believe!

Old Time Christmas Festival

Silver Dollar Cities annual An Old Time Christmas festival creates a magical setting where guests celebrate the holiday with more than 6.5 million twinkling lights, around 40 Christmas productions, and even a Christmas light parade led by none other than Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and his North Pole friends!

Christmas at Midtown Light Display

With 6.5 million Christmas lights seen through the theme park, Christmas in Midtown is the largest single lighting display in Silver Dollar City’s history. The festival features a 70,000 square-foot area filled with Christmas lights arranged in breathtaking scenes. Animated reindeer, stars, snowflakes, three light tunnels, two 40-foot moving trains and a 90-foot Christmas tree are just some of what you will see illuminated at Christmas in Midtown. The light displays will cover buildings and structures in the center of the theme park. Did we also mention the lighted canopy of angels flying overhead? You’ll be amazed any direction you look at Christmas in Midtown!

Christmas Activities

Along with the Christmas in Midtown, An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City is filled with traditional and magical Christmas activities. Returning to the theme park this year, Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Christmas Light Parade floats through the park twice every night during the festival. Kids can meet the famous reindeer and grand marshal himself at Rudolph’s Christmas Town, where reindeer games and cookie-decorating are musts.

Live Shows and Entertainment

The festival offers plenty of Christmas entertainment. Of course, Santa is waiting at his cottage to check his list twice and meet his biggest fans on select dates of the festival. Holiday rides, shows, specialty Christmas shops, and dining options are also open during An Old Time Christmas. And don't miss Home For Christmas and Dickens' Christmas Carol, two heartwarming Broadway-style Shows!

Other Things to Do at Silver Dollar City

Even during the holiday season there are still plenty of other year round activities to enjoy with your friends and family. All year long there are 100 local craftsmen on-site demonstrating 1880s craft techniques and practices. You’ll find blacksmiths, glassblowers, candy-makers, furniture-makers, and even potters practicing their trades throughout the park, along with a wealth of other demonstrating craftsmen. Or if you're feeling adventurous you can explore the Marvel cave. Beneath the park there is a beautiful, intricate cave named a National Natural Landmark by the US Department of the Interior. One of the park’s most popular and historical attractions, Marvel Cave is Silver Dollar City’s original attraction.
