What is the difference between the Industry Portal and the Data Engine?

The Industry Portal is the official database for Branson-area businesses to get information about tourism marketing and to interface with the Branson/Lakes Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. This is the website you are currently on.

The Data Engine controls the business listings and event listings visible on ExploreBranson.com. When a listing is created, a new login is formed. Our admin can create a batch of multiple listings under one username and password. Anyone with the username and password will be able to login to the Data Engine and make changes to contact information, business hours, amenities, descriptions, deals, photos and more for your businesses and events.


How do I request an Industry Portal login?

The Branson CVB Industry Portal is a website dedicated to informing Branson-area businesses about marketing and tourism-related initiatives affecting Branson and the surrounding area. Parts of this site are only accessible to Portal members. Becoming a Portal member is easy! To receive full access to the Branson Industry Portal website, including private posts that are only available to Portal members, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the Account Registration form.
  2. Complete all required fields.
  3. Use an active email address. If you also have a Data Engine login, use the same email address here as it will allow you to access your Data Engine listings while you are logged into the Portal. This email address will also become your Portal username after your account request is reviewed and approved.
  4. If you wish to receive email notifications for specific content (likes Sales Leads, Marketing info, etc.), select which notifications you would like to subscribe to under "Notification Settings." If you do not wish to receive email notifications when new content is published, leave this section blank.
  5. Submit the form by clicking "Request an Account."
  6. Wait 24-48 hours for your account request to be reviewed. If you do not receive an email within 48 hours, check your spam/junk folders.
  7. Upon approval, an email will be sent to your email address with a one-time link to set up your password.

Helpful Tip: Be sure to add [email protected] to your approved list of senders to prevent our emails landing in your spam/junk folders.


How do I reset my password for the Industry Portal?

  1. Click "Log In" in the navigation bar or visit the Log In page.
  2. Click the “Forgot Your Password" link on that page.
  3. Enter the email that is linked to your Portal account and then click “Submit.”
  4. Check your email for a one-time link to reset your password, and click the link provided. If you do not get an email within 5 minutes, check your spam and junk mail.
  5. Update your password and click save.

How do I create a Data Engine account?

  1. Visit the Data Engine.
  2. Click "Register for an Account."
  3. Fill out the form and enter the email address associated with your Industry Portal account. Click save.
  4. Wait 48 hours for your account request to be reviewed.
  5. Check your inbox. If you do not get an email within 48 hours, check your spam and junk mail.
  6. Click the one-time link and update your password.
  7. Click the links along the right-hand side of the dashboard to create a new business, event or show.
  8. Wait 72 hours for your listing to be reviewed, approved and published. Then you may log back into the Data Engine, click on your listing, then click "Where am I listed" at the top of the page, this will redirect you to your published listing.

How do I reset my password on the Data Engine? 

  1. Visit the Data Engine.
  2. Click "Forgot Your Password."
  3. Enter your email address associated with your Data Engine account (this is usually the same email associated with your Industry Portal account). If you lost your login credentials to access your business listings, please email Kressa Phillips at [email protected].
  4. Check your inbox. If you do not get an email within 5 minutes, check your spam and junk mail.
  5. Click the one-time link and update your password.

Why is my business, show or event not on ExploreBranson.com?

If you don't see your leisure business, show or event information published on ExploreBranson.com, there could be a couple of reasons why:

  • Your listing information, such as business hours, has not been updated for the upcoming year. If this is the cause, please log into the Data Engine and review your listings.
  • Your business/event needs to be added to the Data Engine. If you already have a Data Engine account, simply log into the Data Engine and create a new listing. If you need to create a Data Engine account, follow the steps above under How do I create a Data Engine account?

Why aren't my listing changes showing up on ExploreBranson.com?

If a listing has just been updated in the Data Engine but the changes are not showing up on immediately on the website, it’s because the update is pending review. Any time changes are made to a listing, they must go through an approval process. The Approval Queue is checked a couple of times a day, Monday through Friday between 8am – 5pm.

After the request is accepted, it can take up to three (3) hours to appear on the website. If the changes do not show up within this time frame, email [email protected].
