BRANSON, MO (August 13, 2024) - The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & CVB and Taney County Partnership have hired Heather Hermen to fill the chief marketing and communications officer (CMCO) position.

Heather Hermen, relocating from Sedona, Arizona, will be joining the Branson team in office beginning Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Hermen has served as the CEO of Front Burner Media, a full-service marketing and public relations agency with a focus on destination management and marketing, for more than 13 years. One of her most recent projects led her to assist the city of Sedona to create their own destination management and marketing organization from scratch. Sedona is a destination known worldwide as a place for unique beauty, views, proximity to the Grand Canyon, and welcomes millions of visitors each year. With a strong focus on resident satisfaction, quality of life, and building international brand awareness, Hermen has helped Sedona create a strategic plan, public relations focus, and determine next steps in their journey of destination management.

With a master’s degree in communication, Hermen has assisted destinations with storytelling, creating and executing marketing strategies, and seeking unique opportunities to best showcase a destination. Pamela Yancey, president and CEO of the Branson Lakes Area Chamber said, “One of the reasons we were drawn to Heather is her unique marketing and communications abilities. We need someone to tell Branson’s story in a new and exciting way, preserving what we have, but showcasing the unique aspects that may have been overlooked with time. We’re excited to welcome Heather to Branson to help us reach new audiences, re-engage our returning visitors, excite our residents, and enlist them to help share why Branson is a one-of-a-kind destination.”

Hermen is currently consulting with the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber and will be relocating to Branson in August. Beginning September 3, Hermen, with the Branson/Lakes team, will begin building the marketing and communications strategy for the next calendar year and beyond.

The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & CVB and Taney County Partnership are committed to recruiting and retaining dedicated professionals to best showcase the assets of Branson and champion the destination.
