BRANSON, MO – (May 6, 2024) – During Military Appreciation Month in May, Branson MO is celebrating our heroes with welcoming smiles, big salutes, fun events, patriotic respect, and special offers. The sounds of liberty and patriotism echo throughout Branson, from the live music shows to the Bluegrass & BBQ Festival at Silver Dollar City. Yakov Smirnoff, the famous Russian Comedian, says, “In Branson, every day we say ‘Thank You’ to the men and women who have helped preserve our freedoms. It’s an honor to have so many patriots vacationing here during May.”

Branson Mayor Larry Milton has proclaimed Branson as “the Most Patriotic Town in America,” noting that our annual Veterans Parade in 2024 marks its 92nd year. Branson live music shows celebrate our heroes, recognizing their service during each performance.  With over 100 live shows performing in Branson, there is a wide selection of musical genres to satisfy all music lovers’ tastes along with a variety of shows that feature comedy, magic, acrobatics, and more.  Branson showcases a wide range of live entertainment, fun and diverse attractions, pristine lakes with world-class fishing, unique shopping opportunities, and a wide variety of dining experiences. Many of these have Military Appreciation Month special deals and offers. Find out more by visiting www.explorebranson.com/may-is-military-appreciation-month-branson.

While we’re waiting for the release of the NFL Season Schedule and there are little if any OTA going on, May is a perfect time for Kansas City Chiefs fans (Swifties too, alongside all Football Fans) to visit the Branson/Lakes Area – the Official Vacation Destination of the Kansas City Chiefs.  Branson/Lakes Area proudly sponsors the Salute to Hometown Hero at every KC Chiefs home game. While Branson salutes veterans on a year-round basis, one special week happens every year in Branson, the Annual Veterans Homecoming Week, Nov 5 thru 11. Veterans Homecoming Week started in 1995 with the support of Music Star Tony Orlando, who says, “Branson is a special home away from home for all of our heroes and we always give an incredible welcome home to our veterans and active military!”
