Family, Fireworks, and Festivities to Celebrate Memorial Day at Award-Winning Big Cedar Lodge

Big Cedar Lodge, the iconic 4,600-acre wilderness resort, is offering a jam-packed weekend of festive activities as families reunite and kick off the resort’s “Best Summer Ever” season. From a family fishing tournament to a run through the beautiful Ozarks, see below for more details on the Big Cedar Lodge’s Memorial Day festivities:

 

  • 5 Stand Top Shot Memorial Shooting Clash (Thursday, May 26 at 1pm) – The Shooting Academy is hosting a 50 target clay shooting challenge where couples will compete against other pairs for the title of Big Cedar Lodge Shoot Academy Top Shooting Couple! Participants must be 18 years or older. $55/person, reserve here.

 

  • Family Bowling Tournament (Thursday, May 26 at 5pm) – In the first annual Fun Mountain Memorial Bowling Tournament, families will have 10 frames of bowling in which each frame will be a new challenge such as granny-style bowling, opposite hand bowling, and backwards bowling. $20/person, reservations required, reserve here.

 

  • Run to Remember (Saturday, May 28 at 9:30am) – Put your running shoes on and get to stretching for the Memorial Day Weekend 5K. This event is complimentary to guests and locals and will take place on the 5K Trail behind the Fitness Center. Reserve spot here.

 

  • Paddleboat Family Fishing Tournament (Saturday, May 28 at 4pm or 5:30pm) – Enjoy a fun afternoon of fishing at Table Rock Lake. Fishers will have one hour to try and catch the heaviest fish, and winners will receive a Bass Pro Prize and a Grand Prize. $10/person, reserve here.

 

Vietnam War Memorial Wall Display – Big Cedar Lodge proudly honors America and those who defend it with the display of the Vietnam War Memorial Wall Display. This replica of the famous Memorial wall shows 55,000 names of all those fallen during the Vietnam War. Located on the Registration lawn from Friday – Monday.
