Walk-in Clinic for Free Covid-19 Vaccine at Branson Chamber of Commerce

COVID DOSE #1 on Thurs., Aug. 19 from 1pm-5pm and

COVID DOSE #2 on Thurs., Sept. 16 from 8am-Noon at Branson Chamber

The Moderna vaccine will be offered to people ages 18 and up at the Branson Chamber of Commerce, 4100 Gretna Rd., with the first dose being administered on Thurs., Aug. 19 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and the second dose on Thurs., Sept. 16 from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Two weeks after your last dose, you will be protected against serious illness caused by COVID-19.

The FDA has authorized three COVID-19 vaccines which have been shown to be safe and effective as determined by data from the manufacturers and findings from large clinical trials. This data demonstrates that the known and potential benefits of this vaccine outweigh the known and potential harms of becoming infected with COVID 19, which can include hospitalization or death.

“There is no cost to you to get the vaccine, costs are covered through a federal program,” said Heather Lyons-Burney, Pharm.D., UMKC School of Pharmacy at MSU. “With a convenient walk-in clinic, you can feel good about taking some time to do something good for yourself and your community by getting the vaccine.”

Moderna vaccines have two doses, with the second dose coming four weeks later. The second dose gives people a strong, long-lasting immunity.

The vaccine does not contain the virus so it cannot give you COVID-19.

“According to the CDC, COVID-19 continues to spread, and variants are circulating in the Branson area,” stated Jason Outman, CEO, Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB. “You can take steps to protect yourself and others from the virus and its variants by getting a COVID-19 vaccine, helping our community stay safe and keeping Branson strong.”
