Branson’s Comedy Shows Deliver the Fun

Most of the live shows in Branson, including Pierce-Arrow, The Haygoods and Buck Trent, offer elements of comedy for audiences to enjoy. And when the holidays roll around, you won’t want to miss Maxine’s Christmas Carol.

In short, whether you prefer home-spun Ozarks humor, commentary on the news of the day or the musings of a grouchy lady, you’ll be laughing and smiling from the time to curtain goes up until the encore ends.

Among the shows offering great comedy in Branson are:

Comedy Jamboree

The name says it all with this show at Grand Country Music Hall. You’ll laugh at comedians such as Harley Worthit, sing along with the Jamboree Singers and clap your hands when pianist Tracy Heaston tickles the ivories (and maybe your funny bone, too!).

Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers

Traditional Ozarks humor has long been a hallmark of the Baldknobbers show, which began in Branson in 1959. Classic tunes of yesterday and the hits of today are in the repertoire, and you’ll get a generous dose of comedy from characters known as “Droopy Drawers” and “Hargas Marcel.

The Jim Stafford Show

It’s easy to imagine the fun you’ll have at this show, which features the talented performer who charted such hits as “Spiders and Snakes” and penned the song “Cow Patti.” Jim is an incredible guitarist and he’ll keep you on your toes with his quick wit.

Presley’s Country Jubilee

One of the longest-running shows in Branson has been making people laugh for decades. You’ll be wowed by the family’s talented musicians and vocalists, while “Herkimer” and his antics will keep you doubled-over with laughter.

Buckets N Boards: Comedy Percussion Show

Buckets N Boards Comedy Percussion Show has captivated audiences for over 7 years in Branson and as a headlining show for Disney Cruise Lines.  And now, they are back in full force, presenting their comedy, rhythm and music at the Starlite Theatre in 2017.

Hallmark Presents, Maxines Christmas Carol

The "Queen of Crabbiness" stars in "Maxine's Christmas Carol", a twist on the Charles Dickens' classic holiday story, "A Christmas Carol." The live-action musical is getting the full Maxine treatment and will feature ghosts, songs, plenty of attitude, and even a role for Maxine's dog, Floyd. See it in Branson this November & December!
