Sam Gross is a hardworking and deeply dedicated individual whose commitment extends to his family, friends, his career, and the United States Army. Known for his reliability, compassion, and leadership, Sam has built a life defined by resilience and unwavering integrity. Those who know him speak of a man who leads by example—someone who demonstrates that perseverance paired with kindness can carry a person through even the most difficult challenges.

Throughout his military career, Sam earned multiple honors recognizing his service and professionalism. His devotion to duty and his capacity to balance demanding responsibilities with empathy have made a lasting impact on everyone around him.

Beyond his military achievements, Sam has also been a passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan for more than 30 years. For him, the team represents community, connection, and tradition. His enthusiasm for the Chiefs has spread to many others around him, and he has been a season ticket member for a little over 17 years. Over time, Arrowhead Stadium became more than just a place to watch football—it became a second home, filled with memories and shared experiences.

Today, Sam is 100% disabled as a result of his military service and is very hard of hearing. Despite these challenges, his love for the Chiefs remains a powerful source of joy and belonging. The energy of the stadium, the spirit of the fans, and the bond he feels with the players and coaches continue to bring him comfort and connection.

  • Good Conduct Medal for Service
  • Three deployments: Germany, Bosnia, and Kuwait
  • Germany and Bosnia: Served with the 35th Infantry Division in combat and field artillery
  • Kuwait: Served with the 325th Hospital, working as the 3rd Army Corps dietitian
