Branson Bucket List: Must-Do Activities

There is never a shortage of things to do on your vacation to Branson. In fact, sometimes the hardest part is narrowing down your itinerary! Check out our bucket list of must-do activities for every visit to Branson.

See a Live Show!

Branson is famous for its live shows, but what you may not realize is the variety of shows it has to offer. In addition to the excellent traditional country music-variety shows such as Presley’s Country Jubilee, Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers and Clay Cooper’s Country Express, you can enjoy shows that feature astounding illusionists, acrobats and music from just about every genre.

You can also find Broadway-style productions at several theaters and at Silver Dollar City, which has named 2019 “The Year of Shows & Festivals.”

Get Your Adrenaline Pumping!

Get out there and have some fun at one of Branson’s many adrenaline-producing attractions. Ride mountain coasters at The Runaway Mountain Coaster or The Branson Coaster, or go ziplining at Adventure Zipline, 76 Flylines or Branson Zipline, where you can also go SnowFlex tubing.

Check out the go-karts at The Track Family Fun Parks or Xtreme Racing, or be daring and brave the thrill rides at Bigfoot Fun Park or the “skydiving” at Fritz’s Aerodium.

Stop to Soak in the Views!

Take time to notice Branson’s beautiful backdrop, the Ozark Mountains. Though you can appreciate the beauty from anywhere, some of the best viewpoints are from up high.

Visit the Inspiration Tower at Shepherd of the Hills, where you can see panoramic mountain vistas. Or explore Top of the Rock, where you will find one of the most breathtaking views of Table Rock Lake. And for a great view of the Entertainment District, hop on The Branson Ferris Wheel.

Shop ‘Til You Drop!

Branson is home to a variety of shopping experiences. For locally owned, boutique-style stores, visit The Grand Village Shops to find unique treasures for everyone on your list. Visit Tanger Outlet Mall to find great deals on popular brands.

Head to Historic Downtown Branson for charming flea markets and resale shops, as well as shops filled with a variety of wares. Don’t miss an adventure at Dick’s 5 & 10, one of the nation’s last operating dime stores.

Or visit Branson Landing for shopping, dining and entertainment. Don’t miss the spectacular fountain show show at the top of every hour!

Get Out on the Water!

Take advantage of the beauty and recreation offered on the lakes near Branson. Whether you want to fish, boat or simply walk along the lakefront, you’re in luck!

Lake Taneycomo and Table Rock Lakes are home to some of the best fishing in the country. Marinas at both lakes offer boat and equipment rental, and some offer guided fishing tours.

If fishing is not on your list, you can still rent a boat and other recreational water vehicles at State Park Marina or Long Creek Marina on Table Rock Lake or Main Street Marina on Lake Taneycomo.

For a more relaxed water experience, take in dinner and a show on the Showboat Branson Belle or enjoy a meal and sightseeing on either the Lake Queen or the Landing Princess.
