For families in search of quality time together, Branson’s the perfect place to make memories that will last a lifetime. Here are five reasons why Branson is the Midwest’s greatest family vacation destination:

1. Exciting Shows

Branson is known for its exciting shows and live music, and each season is better than the last! Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction is a can’t-miss dinner theater featuring tricks, stunts and lots of laughs. The Branson's Famous Baldknobbers Show has been running since 1959 and features the Mable family’s traditional mix of country music and comedy. Pierce Arrow: Country is another show filled with a focus on country, hitting everything from classic to modern hits and loads of laughs. There are a huge variety of shows around town including musical legends, acrobats, gospel and everything in-between. Don't miss The Haygoods, a must-see family show in Branson featuring six siblings that have an incredibly successful show influenced by their “backwoods” country rock.

2. Amazing Attractions

Branson isn’t just about music and live shows. There are plenty of fun attractions — from thrill rides to museums — that you won’t find anywhere else. Silver Dollar City is an 1880s-themed amusement park that boasts rollercoasters, water rides, shows, great food and lots of events. While at Silver Dollar City, don't miss Marvel Cave, a National Natural Landmark and the Ozark region’s first tourist attraction.

During the summer, you can cool off at White Water water park, home to outdoor water slides, a large lazy river and more. You also won’t want to miss the Titanic Museum, Hollywood Wax Museum, the Showboat Branson Belle, go-karts, mini-golf and so much more.

3. Thrilling Adventures

Wolfe Mountain

While Branson offers a variety of activities on land, true adventure-seekers will take advantage of Branson’s thrilling sky-high entertainment! From parasailing over Table Rock Lake to ziplining through the trees, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a birds-eye view of the beautiful Ozark region. Looking for something more daring? The Ejection Seat propels riders up into the air from 145-foot towers, while the Sky Coaster at Track Family Fun Parks gives riders a taste of skydiving from the 100-foot swing.

4. Natural Beauty

Table Rock Lake

The rolling hills of the Ozark region set the perfect backdrop for all of Branson’s fun and entertainment. With its lush forests and gorgeous lakes, Branson is a haven for nature lovers. There are plenty of options for camping, hiking and horseback riding throughout the area. Or, spend a day on the water at Table Rock Lake or Lake Taneycomo for the perfect blend of fun and relaxation. You can rent a boat or jet ski to cruise for the day, take a peaceful paddle on a kayak, or use a stand-up paddle board. Pitch a tent, rent a cabin or just drop by for a day of fun. There’s no wrong way to enjoy the great outdoors around Branson.

5. Unexpected Surprises

Branson goes way beyond what you might expect to find. The more you explore, the more you’ll discover. At the College of the Ozarks’ Keeter Center, you can taste fresh, homemade ice cream that uses milk from the college’s on-campus dairy. Talk about local flavor!
